1st: K'Lavon Chaisson, EDGE LSU (EDGE would solidify LB group)
2nd: Matt Hennessy, Center Temple (elevated his stock with strong combine)
3rd: Charlie Heck, OT UNC (elevated his stock with strong combine)
3rd: Thaddeus Moss, TE, LSU (luxury pick)
4th: Michael Pittman Jr., WR USC (continuity selection/ties to Sam)
5th: Trey Adams, OT, Washington (major upside, injury past)
6th: Isaiah Wright, WR Temple (return specialist, can develop into deep threat)
6th: Chase Lucas, CB ASU (athletic run defender)

Expect the team to shop these players:

Darryl Roberts, CB
Henry Anderson, DL
Chris Herndon, TE
Chuma Edoga, OL
Brian Winters, OL
Avery Williamson, LB
Marcus Maye, SAF

getting any additional picks would bolster depth which is also a major need...

I'd long been advocating going OT in the first, with one of the big group. but I like getting Heck in the third. Question is, if there's a run early, will that have a ripple on the tackles further down?

had Charlie late 3rd possibly early 4th but he had a strong combine and as for runs on the top 3 tackles:

Left Tackles:

Mecki Becton
Andrew Thomas
Jedrick Wills

all expected to go in the top ten!

Tristan Wirfs is a right tackle or guard at next level look at Jack Conklin!

There is movement but not where players (OL) will move far north of their current value, plus this draft is deep in four positions that will br the focal for most teams.

I am not as high on Wills, but I also think the combine could devalue Thomas more than it should - not because of a poor performance by him, but rather because a couple other guys were combine warriors, and he was just steady and consistent.

Wills was considered number 1 of these three...
Then Thomas was second...
Becton going into the combine a solid 3rd but with dropping 16 pounds and running the 40 he surpassed both in big board but doesn't mean he fits every system out there...

Wills is a good run blocker
Thomas is well-rounded blindside tackle...
Becton showcasing his athleticism opens the door for his potential...

for me i want someone who is well-rounded technique guy that is a solid run guy bc those guys can build strength and power moving forward...

Yeah, I know what they're saying. I just don't know if I buy into Wills quite as much. I'm not as in love with his punch. He has a good kick step, but I've seen him get beat to the edge, only to correct himself. Now, that he can recover is good, but I don't know if he can do that against elite NFL rushers. And I certainly don't know if he could do that shifting from RT to LT.

Maybe he projects at a RT, but do you take a guy who you are looking only at RT that high?

that's why of the top 4 linemen I only see two of them a fit so if those are not there (Thomas & Becton) then Douglas must go with the next need and take that edge guy. I am hearing the Jets like three defensive guys (Simmons, Chaisson & D. Brown) I.S. should likely be gone by pick 9, so K'Lavon vs Derrick Brown could be at play at 11.

That is a valid point, especially if you look at the team being active in bringing in a younger high profile RT like Conklin.

Jets are said to like LSU Lloyd Cushenberry a late second, early third round selection

IF Jets sign Conklin, and that's a big if, then I hope they trade down to middle to 3/4 of round #1 and grab Jones (LT Houston) or Jackson USC. Both project to LT and could sit a year behind Beachum. If they are able to beat him out in year 1, then all the better. The additional 2nd or 3rd + would go a long way to adding the OC, WRs, Edge and CBs that we desperately need.

That could be a good addition to the interior. I don't know if I would use a higher second on him, but if he didn't help himself with the hamstring at the combine, he might make it to them in the third.

There are a couple of nice options at C that may fall to us in 3rd round including: Cushenberry, Harris, Ruiz and Hennessy. Hopefully we get one of them.

Hennessy boosted his stock to an early-mid second

I've seen Ruiz & Cushenberry rumored to be in 2nd as well.
Cushenberry's combine injury hit his stock to late second/early third but his pro day can rectify that back to an early second...

Cesar Ruiz, Matt Hennessy are both better picks just for the reason they are accustom to play in the northeastern climate...

If one of the OT are not a fit for LT or RT. Take him to play LG or RG. If there is a need and Guard is a need (Schreff) was taken at #4 then take him. We can build as we go. IMO the Offensive Line along with ER, CB, WR are what we need most in that order, We are not going to build a Superbowl team in this draft, but I would like to build team work.
