In fairness he didnt know NY is fucking nuts. He's a young kid from Alabama. NY on the other hand destroys your life if you are a law abiding citizen and showers you with love if you deface property, pan handle, rob stores, spray asian people with febreeze on trains, and are illegal and kill and rape 80 year old women....

But god forgive if you innocently carry an unloaded firearm with a legal permit for your destination to an airport and let the airline know you have it on you. And one more point - gun control laws are all about racism in general. Adam ruins everything has a fantastic episode on it (and yes he is a liberal)

No drama because no one really cares - they are already talking about how ratings dropped off and XFL will probably go away again. The biggest issue is prospects are in college, players in NFL, and washups are mostly in XFL. Rules are good in XFL, but at the end of the day - people have very little long term attachment to a league who's players, if they ever reach star status, will immediately leave to go to NFL. At least college they are forced to stay for a while and the ties to the university seal the deal. I think the rules were very smart but they only hold the attention for so long. Plus, as with most - my family enjoys when football season is over and I get time back.

I saw that as well, and also heard that he was trying to board plane with weapon. I doubt he would have gotten that far, so misreported. Also heard that he had a concealed carry permit in Alabama, but not one in New York. Being young and not well-informed, he probably thought it was nationwide permit. Hopefully, this doesn't mean a lengthy suspension, but with all of the gun control sentiment out there he could be made an example.

I'm inclined to agree with you here, but, unless they changed the law in NY since I worked with the DEC he might be in real trouble here. The penalty for that offense is automatic one year in prison. The only thing that might save his ass is that he does have a permit for his home state of residence. The prosecution is going to say that he had no legal right to bring it here in the first place which, under NY State law is correct. Jets better pray that he gets a real lenient judge.

It almost seems that way sometimes doesn't it. Hopefully he will get the right judge who will give him a break and change the charge so it's a misdemeanor instead of a felony so he can just pay a fine and be done with it. I have seen it go that way several times before, It's up to the presiding judge. If the judge wants to make an example of him he will be playing on a prison team for at least a year.

True with most of this but for me an avid boater & swimming pool nut lol This time of year is the best to go to games. I always had a tough time in the fall going to games when I could be boating & Boating when I could go to games

Hehe - one good thing with the Jets being sooo bad last season was ticket prices. I went to Jets/Redskins and got dream seats on the field which included free food for 100 dollars lol. It was great.
