Thuney is going to be very costly. The CBA doesn't differentiate between guards, tackles, and centers. So he'll be playing guard, but being paid the average of the top five salaries of all NFL offensive linemen. That is going to be a very high price tag for a guard.

Plus, with Scarnecchia retiring again, we'll see how much of this was Thuney and how much was Dante.

I still believe the Jets get a 5th Rd pick not a 4th out of the Williams trade because he is NOT signed before the new league year.

The tag has no impact on the pick. I stays a 5th round pick. It would have become a 4th if Leo had signed a deal by the first day of the new league year which was a couple days after he was tagged.

That's what I was afraid of, regardless the high #3 and next year's 5th is till a decent haul for a guy we weren't resigning.
