Do you realize the rule changes to help,QBs were not in place
The great QBs of today couldn't even compete under those rules .
Don't be fooled by the stats that say Joe wasn't great .
I've never seen a quicker release in my life . Dan Marino came close

Namath, McNeil, Maynard and Toon, Caster by all of the 80 yard bombs that he caught from Joe. Check out the famous game where Joe and Unitas threw for about 700-800 yards total when this was not the norm. Anyone who thinks that Joe was overrated should check out this game on YouTube. It’s enough to make a grown man cry as to how few years Joe had when he was healthy. Actually his knees were already shot by the time he got to the Jets.

Now, I will admit that I've never seen Joe play, other then on replay and that was our only SB victory. So I can't argue anything your saying and will defer to you on this.
