they rebuilt the left side for the future but with the uncertainty of this upcoming off season workouts, the plan now is in place to allow the rookies to learn behind veterans at their respective positions... would of said that Becton, Clark would of or could of earned day one starter status but it would be smart to let them ease into those roles using Fant and Lewis or Van Roten as the now day one starters...
LT: Fant, LG: Lewis or Van Roten, C: McGovern, RG: Winters, RT: Andrews
The future is bright but there are some key holes on the OL moving forward both on the right side of the OL, McGovern should and will likely be a Jet for the next 7 years which allows the team a lot of flexibility moving forward...
the smart play getting another physical running back is now they can really get creative on how Bell is utilized in the game plan... Perine could literally be the active starter with Bell being the short yardage and third down back while also lining up at receiver...
the only question is after Crowder who is the real target at receiver as of now a lot of what ifs...
again my faith is in Darnold he has showed immense promise and deserves all the credit but the preparation of getting the team to take the next step is Adam Gase... The in-game adjustments is horrible, the lack of creativity to build momentum is frustrating but when Sam gets on a roll, the offense takes off... Maybe with a healthy Herndon, and along side a Mims, maybe Cager or Campbell can be an active day roster addition that will be very productive early and often... Again a lot of what ifs at this point...
