After a certain number of millions, do you really need any more?You understand that these guys have a limited career and they need to make money while they can, but there comes a time where you are being offered so much that quibbling over a little more makes no sense. At that point you can pretend to be a team player rather than risking losing it all. Also the sensible QBs recognise that it is better for their health to leave some money to pay their supporting cast.

Beresford - You make a good point, however I was listening last weekend to NFL network and I forget who said it but they made a point worth considering in this argument. They said that you have to take into consideration the Cowboy brand (ok, don't vomit) and the amount of money that franchise is worth and how important the QB position is for them. Logically, he continued, Prescott should be paid more than say a Bengal QB. I don't necessarily agree, but clearly something to consider.
