As impressive as the legacy of the Tuskagee Airmen is, I feel that pandering to BLM by specifically dedicating the franchise to African Americans is a bad idea and would encourage similar demands elsewhere. Would the Patriots have to change their name to the 'Boston Glories'? BTW if you haven't seen it 'Glory' is a terrific film.
It's an incredibly slippery slope. The cowboys (indian killers and animal torturers), patriots (many slave owners and indian killers), texans (mexican killers), buccaneers and vikings (raping and pillaging was their forte), 49ers and steelers (raping the environment), browns (??), packers (savaging the anus), etc. The only names that are safe are animals and inanimate objects (jets, etc.).

All kidding aside I do like the name Red Tails but since Native Americans were ones offended by this team for decades shouldn't they be honored? It only seems right doesn't it? The Washington Warriors sounds pretty good. Another good one would be the Washington Windtalkers. Windtalkers is a movie that tells the story of the Native Americans large role in code secrecy during WW2. They were originally called Code Talkers( if I remember correctly) but Windtalkers rolls off the tongue better. Either one would be fine IMO.
Known to the rest of the league as 'Windbreakers'. Now we know how the shotgun snap came into being.

that would be ok except that "washington" could be miscontrued as being george Washington who was a slave owner ... so try again
I think each team might have to be named after prince's symbol and just have a number assigned to them to go along with the symbol

and for that matter, any state that had slavery in it or had people fighting native Americans in it should not be able to have a team in it
and watching the Jets play is also offensive so they should not be allowed in the NFL any more
