Adams came from a winning program, and found himself on a perennial loser. Now he is with a SB contender. Whether he has 'worked his ticket' will be seen by how well he settles in at Seattle.

In the modern NFL - MEGA contracts SHOULD only be dished out to:

A) very talented players, AND most importantly
B) high character/team oriented individuals with a bonafide love for the game. Fortunately for the JETS(because its not always easily/readily discernible), Adams made the answer to "B" resoundingly clear.

More evidence Putz Mal wanted out:

Seahawks’ Jamal Adams To Play On Current Deal

Jamal Adams agreed to play on his existing contract before the Seahawks completed their trade with the Jets, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL.com (on Twitter). With that, Adams will play out the 2020 season on a modest $3.59MM salary. After that, Adams is due to make $9.86MM in 2021, per the new deal.

It’s likely that the two sides will resume talks after the season, but nothing has been promised to the Pro Bowl safety. In New York, Adams was adamant about getting a new deal that would position him as the league’s highest-paid safety and even stepped up his demands to the $20MM neighborhood. Reportedly, Adams was willing to sign a slightly cheaper extension with one of his preferred teams, a list that included the Seahawks. Still, that means a deal in excess of $15MM per annum to top Bears standout Eddie Jackson, and teams are understandably skittish about committing major dollars to players in this current climate.

Other disgruntled players have made similar concessions this offseason. Trent Williams wanted a long-term extension to put him near the top of the tackle leaderboard, but agreed to table talks once he was traded to the 49ers. Jaguars defensive end Yannick Ngakoue is reportedly willing to wait too, if another team is able to work out a deal. In the case of Williams, the Niners effectively met him in the middle by guaranteeing a portion of his 2020 salary and waiving their right to franchise tag him next year. It’s not clear whether the Seahawks are considering something similar for Adams.

"There were many GMs and coaches that I talked to over the weekend [about the Jamal Adams trade] ... and most, I'd say almost all, felt that the Jets fleeced the Seattle Seahawks."

Adams is an idiot and isn't going to get what he is asking for! His demand for $20M a season would make him the 2nd highest player on Seattle only behind Wilson!

Seahawks aren't known for handing out big money deals, so lets see how much Adams starts whining and crying as soon as the season is over.

Most people have forgotten now that John Elway refused to play for the Colts after they drafted him. A lot of people thought at the time that he was self-important and lacking in character. So....... assuming there is a season, does Jamal Adams make the Pro Bowl as a Seahawk?

Don't know about 'upset', but certainly resigned. Is there any other franchise that ships out its #1 draft picks at such a rate?
You have a valid point there. I think the number is 5 now but the fact is I have reservations about every pick because there is no sure thing in my estimation and, of course revamping the management every year doesn't help much either.

Well they are trying to change the culture. Me first guys like Jamal Adams, who is immensely talented and a great player are not going to fit in with that. Adams already was bitchin' on Twitter about his flight being so early for Seattle. Yeah he has since deleted it and he did put in the mandatory LOL to make it look good but it just shows his sense of entitlement. Adams wants to be paid and paid well but he is still a safety. No way he signs a long term deal in Seattle if He doesn't wise up. You want to be paid like a Superstar? Then act like one ON and Off the Field.

He was joking about the flight and agreed to play out his current deal. At least this year at $3.2 mill.
Look at the haul and teams trying to land him, Seattle, Dallas'San Fran and the Eagles.
Dont let your anger cloud your judgement, Adam's is a superstar and is viewed as such around the league.

The factual #s were released. $58 mill for 4 year extension. Far cry from Cimini's speculated $20 mill funny that was the same ammount Cimini threw out for Anderson.
When Cimini post x player could potentially be seeking up to $20 million M per year. Why does it always turn into player x is demanding $20 million.
Not attacking you, just happens over and over throughout the fanbase. Are the fan boards or youtubers spread the false #s?

Using the same logic, Adams was also a great leader in his recruitment of Bell. I don't think it shows leadership at all.

The difference is Adams was always a big mouth me player. Seattle fans loved McDougal. I don't think we will miss Adams at all.
