Jamal Adams traded to Seattle Seahawks!!!

At the end of the day, this is all about building the team correctly around Darnold. Jamal was and is an excellent player but lets not get it confused, he isn't Ed Reed, Troy Polomalu, Eric Berry, Charles Woodson or Earl Thomas. These were play making safeties at its elite and they were all over the field. Jamal was more of a box, linebacker, Ronnie Lott type of guy and he was no where near as good as Lott, at least not right now. So the Jets made the trade and got a haul but what are they going to do with it? Who are they going to draft?

We all know Seattle will be playoff contenders as long a R. Wilson is still there. So that means for the next 7-10 years, most likely Seattle will always be drafting in the bottom half. So the Jets will be drafting with their picks anywhere from 20-32. What will they do with that? Will they draft a HOF olineman or WR or DE or CB or RB? If so, then this will work out perfectly but if they draft the typical flop players they have been over the past 10 plus years that don't even make it past their first contracts then we've accomplished NOTHING!!!
There is always Risk but we have a new GM .....we just need to keep trying. this was a good deal as of today.

It is a great deal as of today, I agree and I'm not complaining at all about the trade. I'm actually cool with it but if they don't draft correctly, then Seattle most likely wins 2-3 more SBs, with the help of Adams and were left with nothing. So lets just all hope Douglas does the right thing here so we can finally prosper off a trade of a great player and some draft picks.

sure is..

the guy did everything he could to get out of town & we still got amazing compensation for this wildly overrated disgruntled box safety dickhead..

I’d turn the Super Bowl drivel down a notch.
Look at who they beat last year and by how much. Their margin of victory is at or below 7.
R. Wilson is soo good, he covers up a lot of holes on that team. Holes that Jamal cannot cover up. Holes on the Oline, no pass rush, please don’t try and sell me on Jamals 6.5 sacks last year. 5 of them were against the Giants and Washington.
Plus, their 12th man is gonna be gone this season, and that’s a huge advantage for the Seahawks.
They might finish 3rd in their own division, instead of multiple Super Bowls.
As the great Jamal Adams has shown, and spoken about, no matter how good your SS is, he will ultimately not be the difference between winning and losing.

I agree great trade....but Adams might sink them too??? I am betting on it being a Cardinal fan too......Look you can win powerball & get killed going to collect it but I don't want Adams even if we end up not winning?

Seattle is not 1 safety away from a SB lets get real - and there division is very tough right now. Jamal now also needs to live in a Russel Wilson world - dont forget what happened to the legion of boom and why it broke up before they aged out completely - they couldnt stand living in Wilsons shadow....How will Jamal live there? He has always been a star because the JETS suck - in Seattle he may be a star but he will never be the fav. child - that is Wilson - he comes first - he is the seahawks. Jamal is a box safety....Here is a list of the pecking order for a place like seattle...

1. QB
2. LT
3. Edge
4. WR
5. RB
6. CB

Jamal and the rest. Hard to be a big fish in that arena and I agree is has a ton of talent - but he is a box safety - he is not known for pulling the football out of the sky. His claim to fame there will be how well he covers kittle when they play the 49ners - and that wont be so easy - as we have seen his first year against Gronk.

My opinion is he is the next Odell - he will have moments in Seattle - but he will get lost in the noise - may be worse because atleast Odell is a WR and if the brown didnt suck he would have more highlight real.

I've said it time and again if your best player is a safety your team truly sucks.

i mostly agree with this.. certainly if the safety only excels in the box.. we've seen a lot of truly great safeties over the years who were not one trick ponies..

you can't get more mileage then what's his face has gotten out of those inflated numbers..

also love how the talking heads just parrot the narrative that you can line the guy up all over the field?!

when?? where?? LSU?? because saying that's what he did here, is complete bullshit..

expect to read his name on the injury report a lot when they play the niners, especially for national games..

True enough JG, but even those guys were not the First guy you thought of when mentioning their team. Those great players were part of a Team not a self centered me first a-hole who forced their way out. I do agree with you though.

tell you what, if they want try to play him in space (man I hope they do) like he's a ball hawk, good luck.. he'll get exposed as the media/fans creation he is.. did you see peter king & rodney harrison slobbering all over the guy while completely shitting on the jets?? all while pretending like doulas has anything to do with the idzik & maccagan.. shameless disingenuous bias shown by both..
