if we had a post of the week icon, i would clicked on!!I agree with the comments that right now this is just a rumor without corroborated facts. I'll start with Christopher Johnson - in my opinion he has been a leader in standing with the players for social justice issues. He has done an exceptional job in this regard.
Woody has never been known as someone who is particularly bright, but his actions running the team have always been pro-social justice, and he has never been remotely perceived as sexist or racist. So let's wait and see what happens before passing judgment.
Lastly - on the ridiculous ghost thing, just stop Butterscotch. If you don't like Darnold, that's fine. But leave the ghosts thing alone. It was wrong then, and it's wrong now. The kid was on the bench, and that should never have been aired. The fact that WFAN still talks about it doesn't help give it any credibility. That's not exactly a reputable news outlet. Continuing to harp on it only perpetuates the pervasive negative sentiment about this team. And right now, we could all use a little positive in our lives. For the record, I'm definitely a firm believer in Darnold. He's the real deal, no doubt in my mind. He can be one of the best QBs in the league if the fans and the franchise will let the kid develop. He's younger than Joe Burrow! And last year, there were multiple games where he played at a Pro Bowl level. For example: Go back and watch the Dallas game (I was there). Darnold made one bad throw the entire game. The rest of the game, he played at an elite level, with some remarkable throws - one of the best games by a QB we've seen here in a decade.
The one bad game against the Patriots stands out. But people love to forget that if you look back at other great players - they had plenty of those games too, especially earlier in their careers. Go watch film of Aikman, Petyon Manning, Eli Manning, Kurt Warner, Philip Rivers, Joe Montana, Steve Young, Brett Favre - I could go on and on. You will see 4-5 INT games where nothing went right. It happens. Get over it already. And put that ridiculous ghost comment to bed already.

He hired two african-american HC's, and kept them around long after they proved ineffective.

Yes he did ,
God I hope he doesn’t do the same with Gase
You can't blame Butter for the pervasive negativity
The Jets and the org take care of that by themselves
And until they win nothing will change that
Not even all the positive wishes of Jet posters
Some guys are sold on Darnold and some want to see him prove it ( I'm in the latter) 2 years 11wins 15 loses
Ive been with this team way too many years to get my hopes up by thinking and wishing players are better than what they are
Let's see it on the field and go from there.
The pessimism has been brewing for 50 + years that just doesn't go away .
So true I go back to 77 with season tickets & I left twice....I feel your pain as you have had it for much longer. We all want the D man to do great but humor keeps us going all these years,,,,,,,& the Jets sure feed us enough materialYes he did ,

@Prez
Right is right. Wrong is wrong! If u don't think this is wrong you're part of the problem not the solution.

So now Adams jumps on this using the political environment as his crutch.
I can't stand this guy
Not a Fan of the Johnson Boys at all but could we just ONCE not jump to conclusions before all the FACTS are in? You know Innocent until proven Guilty and all that....

Sad but True. Not in America anymore.
were there any new reports??If this is true, and I've seen the reports too - then Woody needs to step down as owner of the Jets, it's that simple. Christopher would run the team. I don't know if they would be forced to sell it, but it's possible if the league steps in. And they might have to do so. It's embarrassing to be a Jets fan sometimes because of their play on the field, ridiculous incidents off the field, but this runs much deeper than that. This is not ok and cannot be condoned in any way shape or form.
Someone started a new thread on the same topic and it was merged with my original thread by the mods.were there any new reports??
this thread is weeks old..
