When his name was announced as our 3rd round pick, I said who is that and why are we drafting a safety so high. Seems as though it was a pretty smart move by Douglas. Kid will contribute both on STs and various D packages. BTW - A better athlete than Leonard as well.

wonder if Davis will lineup at corner, and if so nickel would absolutely be able to show case that quick twitch he has...

yes, I know Brian Poole is there but last year we had played BP at safety and that could be an option this year as well... they also drafted Bryce Hall to possibly be Poole's replacement so there that as well...

we know Maye is one safety but this is his contract year we have to be prepared he may not be with us after this season...

who is the other starting safety, the answer as of know McDougald but again both unrestricted free agents after this season...

Like I said, looks like a smart move by Douglas. Even if we kept Adams it was a smart move because of Davis' versatility and athleticism. Plus, either Adams or Maye would probably have been gone after this year.

By all accounts, Maye is having an outstanding camp. Looks like GW has given a lot of the assignments that went to Jamal to Maye.
He’s not going to be the thumper Adams was, but I bet he’ll cover a lot better.

I agree I have always liked Maye...this could be his year.

maye is better in coverage/space by accident..

i'm on record right here, saying maye had the better rookie season over what's his face.. i would/will LMFAO if williams gets better value out maye being his new attacking safety..
