I hope it's true. I'm not a fan of any reporter that uses his time trying to stir up trouble or throw bad light on any team just for his own amusement which he frequently does. I've always thought that he really hated the Jets and couldn't understand how he could be a Jets beat reporter with his negative attitude.
He's the worst beat writer the Jets have ever had for all of the reasons mentioned above. Gary Meyers was really bad, but Mehta was far worse. If true, this would be great news for Jets fans and for the Jet team. Not having to deal with the negativity and phony controversies he creates will mean less distractions. As far as I am concerned, see ya Mehta, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
