Jets Sign S Marqui Christian

The Jets announced on Wednesday that they have signed S Marqui Christian.

Christian (5-11, 207) signed with the Bears in August and was placed on reserve/suspended list on Sept. 5 before he signed with Chicago's practice squad on Sept. 21. He appeared in 16 games for the Rams last season (1 start) and had 36 tackles and 2 pass defenses. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the fifth round in 2016 out of Midwestern State, but was waived before taking a snap with Arizona, the Rams claimed him two days later.

Christian, 25, was a core special teams player for the Rams, tallying 12 stops the past four seasons. He has made 83 tackles in the NFL.

Does make you wonder. One of the more surprising things I've seen so far is the lack of run for ADavis, particularly after all of the compliments thrown his way. What's up with that?

technically we have 3 healhty receivers...

Braxton Berrios can be a slot on another team so he is a #3
Chris Hogan can be a #4 on any other team
Josh Malone is a practice squad guy...

these are our starting three...

expect they will call up either Jaleel Scott or Lawrence Cager for game day... More likely Scott since they protected Cager...

They might very well be trying to do just that but I'm more inclined to believe they intend to use him mostly on special teams. Our kicking game this time was pretty good but it seemed to me that the rest of the unit was repeatedly slow getting downfield to the ball giving the niners good starting position most of the time even though the kick was usually good. Just my thought.......................
