“Getting ready for this next game”. Riiiight. Like the last 5 you got ready for and we’re blown out by halftime in four of them. You don’t know how to get a team ready for a game You have the same exact game plan every week. I know the plays that are coming, what the fuck do you think these highly paid professional coaches and players are doing.
Your offensive system is a short passing attack, that gains, maybe, 4 yards per player IF everyone does their job perfectly.
So they have to do their job perfectly for over 20 plays a drive in your system, AND THEY CANT DO IT.
How many times (NOT MANY) where the Jets put together a long drive, your sitting there, about ten plays go by, your like, hey these guys are playing good, then you realize that they’ve only moves down the field about 15 yards. They aren’t actually going anywhere, then a penalty or a sack or dropped ball and it’s punt time.
It’s absolutely fucking sickening.
Tannehill, who Gase sent packing in Miami, is 4-0 with the Titans. Looked like a guy, last night, a coach who knows what he is doing, can win with.
Darnold, in almost any other team in this league, would have a winning record right now. That I am 100% sure of, but we’ll trade him away and he’ll blossom on another team, just like Tannehill or maybe even Drew Brees.

I really like Darnold. I think he could be very good to great. I really hate the Jets at this point. I know they have zero hope because the organization is trash. NYC is trash with high taxes and declining major city with horrible people running that city and state. There is zero reason other than the Jets stupidity to overpay for players to go to the Jets.

I'm not sure either and that is 100% the fault of the Jets. I feel I would have known on every other franchise. I've seen enough to know he has lots of talent. I've also seen enough to know he has never had a real coach at any level. I know most fans are down on Darnold, but I would also bet most smart people know he has never been given one chance to succeed with the Jets.

Consider the price tag. Minimum $60 million salary to attempt to teach him. Then if he makes it,$100 plus million deal and this years class due to be paid.
Really need to sit him a year if your going to teach him fundamentals . Theres just not time in camp especially under the new CBA. If he doesnt make it were back to square 1. We passed on Mahomes to see if Hackenberg was the answer. Do we pass on Lawrence to see if Sam can learn to learn the fundamentals and become a QB ?
Lawrence is what we hope Darnold could some day become. Remember Darnold was never drafted for what he was, but for what he could hopefully become. Hes further from that today than he was drafted.

Now the team that just won the SB with a great coach and an over abundance of talent signs Player X.

Good signing for the chiefs. They are desperate for RB help with Damien Williams opting out due to Covid. Clyde Edwards-Helaire had a big game week 1 but hasn't done much since and Darrel Williams has been just bad.Any contract details yet?
