Darnold ranked 31st

nfl.com ranks Darnold 31st among NFL starting QBs, behind Andy Dalton and ahead of Brandon Allen. If this is how coaches perceive him, our chances of getting a significant draft pick for him after we lose out look slim.

His ranking doesn’t take into consideration his shitty supporting cast or asshole Gase game plans. He will fetch a 3rd rounder. Remember he is still young .....

While Jets arent good, Jets in NFC North would be top team there with that QB. I feel our Jets are better than Packers no name talent at WR,TE,RB until QB makes them better. So I dont want to hear if Darnold had players around him he would be better. Great QBs makes others better and Darnold not seeing open WRs,TEs. Holding ball to long and telegraphing where he is passing is big issue. Great QBs dont wait to be told by Coach how to fix obvious issues. They just take it upon themselves to learn it.

Come on. We are comparing Darnold to a 15 year vet?? Darnold was failed by the Jets. I believe given better coaching and roster will help him. Nobody can say he won't succeed because he has never had a single weapon while trying to learn to play the position with the worst coaching in NFL history. I believe Darnold was just way too raw and he went to the worst fanbase and franchise.

A good QB can make other players better... but usually only after a couple of seasons of growth to find himself. Look at Josh Allen this year; I read an article that pointed out how the Bills have handled his development, starting with building up his supporting cast. That gave him a chance to grow into his talent and this year he has blossomed into a guy who can win games and make his teammates better. Sam D. has not had that situation, but in the win against the Rams I think we got a glimpse of how good he can be, which I still think is very. The O-line has actually been improving, he's gotten weapons back in Mims, Crowder, Perriman, and even Herndon was in the game plan. The analyst on the broadcast (Brock Huard, whom I don't think I've heard before but he was excellent imho) early on focused on how long SD held the ball on every play, saying it was an area of emphasis that the Jets wanted to improve, esp. with the Rams' ferocious pass rush, and Darnold did exactly that, making consistently good decisions. I still think that Darnold can become a franchise QB if they develop him and build around him - which Joe D is positioned to do with the existing draft capital he already has. Whether the Jets end up with pick 1 or 2, they can probably get a serious haul of picks for theirs, and that might be the right move to really build the team.

Supporting cast hey how many teams give their QB a ghost. His own special one

I personally don't believe this and I feel it's time to move on from Darnold. However; its possible that the Jets and some or most fans might be thinking that Darnold can be saved and has these last two games to show something good. Even with this horrid squad!!! Minus Becton, Mims and our three young RBs that Gase seems to refuse to play. I personally feel if Justin Fields show something great in the playoffs then the Jets should draft him. If not, they should trade back and draft the big olineman Powell and try to also draft Zack Taylor. Trade Darnold for whatever they can salvage and move on but it seems a lot of fans are back on the Darnold train. Now that Trevor Lawrence doesn't seem to be an option anymore..

I don't want anything to do with an Ohio State QB. Maybe Fields is different , but not int he few games I've seen him play. I still would like to see Darnold with a good HC and a good roster. There is no need to get rid of Darnold. He will be in his 4th year next year and if they want to draft another QB to compete with him then I'm fine with that. At this point he has no value. I would like to see Sewell or Chase at the #2 pick. Both are immediate upgrades on this roster nd would help whatever QB's we have.

I am sold on Zach! I'm more excited about him than during the Trevor "period". Everybody, I
mean everybody said Trevor is a "can't miss". Imagine the pressure.
