Ex WFAN host and nutty Jet fan, Joe Beningo said he'd rather stick with Darnold for another year than take a gamble.
Zack Wilson-BYU, and Justin Fields Ohio State could be terrific, but not sure-shots.
He is more concerned with hiring a good coach. No more Todd Bowles or Gases!

I was originally in the camp of "Let's put a good offensive line in front of Darnold and see what he can do". I compared his situation to Archie Manning when he came to the NFL and was running for his life and getting beat up every game.
But the more I see Darnold, I see him making the same mistakes; running out of bounds for a loss instead of throwing the ball away, throwing into (sometimes double) coverage, telegraphing his throws by not looking off a receiver, etc. Those are things he should have learned and understood by now. I believe if they put great pieces around him, he will never be more than a QB who just manages the offense, and I'm now not even sure he can do that.

Long suffering Jets fans have every right to strategize their thoughts regarding the team they root (pay) for!
G.M.s and owners play the salary cap for their good, what's wrong in our wanting good outcomes?

I think at this point no one is really sure on what the Jets should do. I guarantee or I believe rather if Justin Fields plays a good to great game against Clemson, especially if they win JB will change his tune. This win or lose rather of Trevor Lawrence is devastating and where all running around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to figure out what to do next. When I say we I mean literally WE! Like the owners, GM, coaching staff, scout team and all us fans. We all have opinions but I don't anyone is sure truly.

All we can hope for is that Jacksonville wins this week and that won't happen but lets hope for it. Or that Justin Fields plays a great game and gives us all more confidence in drafting him. Building around Sam is an option but one that is just as unsure and unguaranteed as drafting any other QB but Trevor Lawrence. The team Sam had around him his first two years here was better than this one but his stats weren't eye popping, they were ok at best. Is that what we really want to bank another year on? This is truly a mess!!!

Benigno retired and roberts is now paired with Craig carton (formerly of boomer and Carton). They work really well together and I really enjoy their show.

I agree. I didn't pay much attention to him (much being zero) until this week. Looks like an athletic player, not just a pocket-type, obviously accurate, and smart.
