The only way i would go along with a Watson trade if if we were to trade down from 2, add some more 1st round capitol next year that we could use to facilitate such a trade . I am not into giving up both our 1st this year along with our second this year and next while throwing in another 1st next year for 1 player regardless of who it is . Build a team and a Nick Foles can take you to a championship . Without a team, all were would be doing is taking Watson off one bad team and putting him on another .

It cost the Jets an arm an a leg to acquire what some thought was that long search after Franchise QB . 4 years later the vast majority of the fan base is ready to throw him to the curb . Well at pick 2, we have an opportunity to pick the best Edge rusher available in this draft . We need to do our do diligence, isolate that player and make the selection .
Furthermore we have an opportunity to add the type of RB that defenses have to prepare to stop and with a little luck, maybe a #1 type WR either through free agency or in the draft . We can do all this if we keep our picks and stay away from the quick fix .
Everyone has a favorite and my guy is Pitt Edge rusher Patrick Jones .

lot of truth to that.

My feelings today............
Draft at #2 overall, a quarterback. (I prefer Zack). Build an infrastructure on both sides of the ball. Trade Darnold with good wishes, as he is a good guy!
Texans will want after the Stafford trade, no less than 50% of the Statue of Liberty, for the best 4 game winner in NFL history.
(He is terrific, but living proof of the need for players , no matter the quarterback)

Your guy would be a big reach at #2 though, rather like Zach Wilson.
oh my mistake for not making myself more clear . Jones is not a 1st round guy . he's a 3rd round pick and maybe a late 2nd right now. What i like about him is that he utilizes a strong bull rush , spin move and the dip under move already as a collegiate player. He's someone i thing a coach will look at know he can improve .

as of right now Patrick Jones II out of Pittsburgh is an early 4th round prospect... He has potential but there are plenty of Edge guys ahead of him... He needs to get stronger and fill out his frame for the NFL, but he has good speed and length off the edge...

From Walter Football site on Zach Wilson:

"In speaking to a director of college scouting from a NFC team that is in the market for a new quarterback, he outlined the makeup concerns with Wilson:

"Johnny Manziel comp without the [drugs]. [Wilson] is fun to watch, but is he a 1-year flash in the pan? He's a backyard baller who is fun to watch."

"Someone will grab him in the first [round]. I doubt he gets to the second [round] because once the third quarterback goes, after Lawrence and Fields, there will be a run on them. [Wilson] has character concerns, rich kid who is an entitled brat - uncle owns Jet Blue -, parents are a pain, not a leader, selfish, and he's a know-it-all.

"His positives are that he's super competitive, not to get scared and won't back down, extremely confident, very smart with keen recall and teammates will play for him."

That college director outlined the makeup of Wilson well, but his team is strict on character, so perhaps that plays into them having Wilson as the fourth quarterback."

The positives outweigh the negatives - he's smart, confident, learns and his teammates play for him.
He played at BYU, which is a very conservative school, so I don't think partying will be a problem.
He doesn't sound like Rosen (who had the same negatives) Part Deux.

Trevor Lawrence has a torn labrium.
Maybe Jacksonville won't notice its his non-throwing shoulder and pass on him

From what I'm reading above, I'm tempted to make it two days in a row of keeping Sam, either drafting DeVonta, trading the #2.
Nota Bene: I thought Jet Blue is employee owned?

Then I hope his dad, an "employee", has Trevor covered under his medical plan. Those operations can be expensive.

I think the poster was referring to Zach?
