I don't know "G"...............It doesn't sound like he loves being on the field enough if he's habitually late or no show for team activities. Having family in the area might help but I have a forty something relative who's never been on time for anything, including work that I can remember and all the coaching and pleading from family and everyone else around him has been to no avail. Some people just can't help it. With a minimum price and contract terms that give the Jets an easy and cheap out I'd probably say go for it but you can't afford to let that type of problem creep into the locker room..........again. We've been down that road before as I recall.

not an excuse being drafted in the NFL is a privilege but his heart was not in it for that head coach...
Born and raised in Brooklyn got a full scholarship to UGA had family down there was reason he chose that school, had 5 other full time scholarships offered... Think if he was back in NYC with friends and family around he may act different... Isaiah is very close to his mother, think if the team talked to her they might be able to get his head in the game that is if he still wants to play football...
a right tackle that is the exact copy of Mekhi Becton but on the right side could sew up some loose ends...
people don't know this but the Jets are his favorite team and being traded from a former Patriot to another former Patriot could of messed with his emotions...
There's the key to the whole scenario. Get his head and his heart in the game. Make him aware that missing game appointments is absolutely not acceptable where the punisment for such conduct is an immeadiate hit the road buddy. Then we have a player worth giving a shot and the catch 22 of that is you have to give him a shot to find out which player he is now. It definitely would be nice to have the football loving version on the "O" line I agree.
I said coming out of Univ of Georgia ... that this guy should be a Guard not a Tackle in the NFL ... let him clear waivers then bring him !! Line him up next to Mekhi Becton for the next 10 years
Guy has deeper issues than not wanting to play football. He rather drink and get high than show up for work.

At 22 years old, 6’6 and 331 pounds, I would take a flyer on him as well. Imagine if his family and the Jets can get his head straight and strictly into the game? He could be the other OT that we’re looking for. If he isn’t than what have we lost, nothing!!! Sign him for the bear minimum and work with him in getting his mind and body right and there just might be some great rewards in it.

I'm still unsure about fixing his character problems. He had problems in Tennesse too which is why he was traded to Miami in the first place. It's a delicate decision for whoever makes it. You want to give the guy a shot and if the deal is structured right you probably could.

Wilson was arrested after a 140 MPH chase, charged with 7 crimes including drug possession. Wilson, 22, and an unidentified woman were charged with felony fleeing from police, possession of a schedule 1 controlled substance, marijuana possession, drug-related paraphernalia, reckless driving, reckless conduct and speeding in a construction zone, per the report. Police stopped the pursuit but Wilson soon crashed his car and was arrested. This happened in January. Wonder if Miami was aware of this before trading for him.
