Sheperd can backup Williams at the 3T and Rankins can Backup Foli at the NT position .
2 years 17 million is not backup money.
It is on this team especially if you want to sign any players . I really don't care who starts, more interested in who finishes
Hopefully he can stay healthy. If he does, it's a really nice addition.
He had a decent season last year, missed some games, but overall quite decent. He needs to get healthy and as you say stay healthy. When he's at his best he's a real asset on that line. The defense is starting to look exciting.
26 yr old NT with starting experience is bound be have an injury here and there . Really nice pickup for this defense . With Joyner and Maye patrolling deep and improved pressure up front our CBs don't have to be special, just in position. On paper this defense thus far is much improved over last year already
Broken fibula which required surgery, ankle injury led to IR, knee injury led to IR and ruptured Achilles, 2 surgeries, 4 serious injuries in 5 seasons is more than here and there.
All those Injuries in 5 yrs and yet this cat produced . Maybe the worst is behind him and the best is on the way .
Let's hope so. He deserves a break and so do we. I'm optimistic. I know he can play so the rest is up to our new health department. There are several players in need of that department being able to make a difference already.

I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere that he had that bone growth, it's called Haglunds Defornity, surgically removed. The first type of treatment for that disorder is to wear backless shoes, obviously not going to work in the NFL. That's why surgery is his only real option other that taking pain meds constantly. I can't remember where I read about his surgery but pretty certain that's what happened and that's good news for all of us. Problem solved.
