With NFL expected to expand regular-season schedule to 17 games this week, a look at likely dates - CBSSports.com

• No extra bye week (17 games on 18 weekends)
• Week 1 (first regular season Sunday): Sept. 12, 2021 (week after Labor Day weekend)
• Week 18 (final regular season Sunday): Jan. 9, 2022
• Super Bowl Sunday: Feb. 13, 2022 (week before President's Day weekend)
• Wild Card Weekend will have two games on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022; three games on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022; and one game on Monday, Jan. 17, 2022.

So how do they deal with the uneven games? Give half the teams an advantage? If so, you have to do it by divisions. Maybe, neutral site games, 16 of them in places like London, Barcelona, Mexico City, Montreal. Rio, Beijing, Toyko or possible future markets like Portand, San Antonio and Croton-on-Hudson. Too bad they can't do what the NBA used to in the 50's and 60's with doubleheaders.

I like this as we get one more Jets game in January and an extra playoff day. You have to wonder about the physical effect on the players though, If nothing else, you better have two servicable QB's

Don't be greedy Bigmoe. One is too many. We are used to playing with a half QB, or less, So 3/4s of a QB should be adequate for our great team.

I dont like it. It will be hardest on the work horse of the teams the O Linemen and D Linemen who take pounding every play and dont have long protected careers like QB,WRs and might be shortening years at position. What happened to health and safety? Must have went out the window for money while Linemen dont get much. Maybe NFL can buy them annuities to pay monthly cash throughout their lives to help them being busted up not able to work other physical jobs. 17 games benefits NFL owners and big position players with money. So much money to live 10 lives

Vet Linemen needs practice games and camps. Only Rookie Linemen needs to be at those. This could or might help them adding 1 game and to their healthy careers.

I say no QB why waste the money in vest it in free drinks for the fans. Give me four games a year at a QTR each why do we need to play more then 15 minutes

As I saw it, 15 minutes per game is about all we got out of most of the team not long ago. Then it started going downhill fast.

Scrap the games entirely, give us 10 weeks of free agency, and 1 draft round per week for the last 7 weeks. Then we will truly have a dynasty....
