Finally a GM!

Im so happy to have a real GM who seems to know how to build and draft. Im happy with new Head Coach and Coaching staff. Happy with last draft and signings. Now Draft Zach Wilson and a RB and Center and lets go! Ive been waiting long enough with stupid GMs and poor Coaches and now GM is fixing my Jets. Thank you Joe Douglas and bring respect back to Jets.

Funny, well not so...after watching the Jets, not just this past season, but when another game is on afterwards I admit envy to see a team move with fluidity in situations to get a given first down where too often the Jets punt on 4th. It will be nice to see the Jets receive and not give the ball away with 14:45 left in the first quarter, unless they score of course.

What's was worse is the vast majority of the 3rd downs were 3rd and short . We have gone the better part of 10 years unable to consistently pick up a 3rd and short while watching teams do it to us with QB sneaks .

yes. if you watch another team play, it is totally different then watching the Jets. this may sound nuts, but even the quality of the video seems worse in a Jet game. like standard def vs. hi def

I don't think RB and Center are high on Douglas list in this years Draft. We really did nothing in FA at Edge, CB, RT, or OG. I can see our Draft going in that order after our #2 pick (Wilson). I would like to give Wilson the protection and weapons he needs early in the draft, but what we got at WR and RB in FA I see those picks coming in the 4th Rd and beyond. We should be able to fill the Guard spots in Rd #3.

Crazy me hopes for a SB appearance every year. You'd think I'd know better being a Jet fan in Namath's rookie year.
I think we have enough picks that if there's a good player to fill a weak hole to go for it.

Lawson is doing something at Edge in FA. However, I do think if the right Edge player is there at #23 or #34 Douglas will double down to hopefully turn a weakness into a strength.

Lawson was a very smart signing, and one that will fit well into the scheme. I'd love to see more edge talent, but there are other holes that could be addressed.

Other holes for sure, but a lethal pass rush 'covers' for deficiencies elsewhere like CB. Again, I'm not at all suggesting that we don't load up on IOL, because we can do that in rounds 2-4.

With current GM Im hoping he goes all Offense this draft in OLinemen RB and next year all Defense. We really needed a good Vet Center to help QB. Center should have been filled 4 years ago.

I'm right there with you . if we decided to address just offense this draft we might be able to save it after ruining what could have been by not trading the #2 pick .

I don't see it as ruining what could have been by not trading out of #2. The Jets already have a stockpile of picks.

i would gladly give you every pick after round four for 3 additional picks in the 2nd and or 3rd in this upcoming draft . I happen to think our biggest need after offensive line and now QB is linebackers .

I'm not as worried about the CB position as others are . We have a ton on young talented prospects who all got their feet wet last year without the benefit of a training camp . In a way, it was a good thing that they didn't spend a ton of time learning that scheme while also getting valuable experience in games .

Hall is a starting CB. Is he a #1? Not sure of that. Could Bless Austin also be a starter? Maybe. I'd feel a lot better with a top-end young CB.
