Evaluating this draft is simple after trading away Sam Darnold they had to pick a quarterback at Number 2... This Pick can not be evaluated until year 3, so far now the grade is "Undecided"

My insider information on the Jets trading up to 14 was on the money just found out another team almost sweetened the pot that is why we gave up both 3rds instead of one with the 107th pick... Trading up was a need and smart move to get the best Guard in this draft in Alijah Vera-Tucker... Grade A+

Standing Pat at 34 is a win lose situation as I was on the record that Denver wanted to move up they didn't want to give good return so instead they moved up to 35... Elijah Moore falling out of the 1st round was a huge win for the Jets because they need a long term answer at slot, someone to grow with Wilson under center... Taking Moore... Grade A-

The Jets stood strong waited until day 3 to load up on key needs and depth went on a binge selecting defensive backs which some turned into our new linebacking core... First selection was my UNC favorite RB Michael Carter who will come in and be a productive third down option... Grade A-

Sherwood played safety in college but lined up a lot at linebacker, which is the position he’ll take on with the Jets... He wasn’t super productive at Auburn but looked like a mauler when he attacked the ball carrier... Sherwood is a solid developmental pick for the Jets who could turn into a good defender as a weakside linebacker in Robert Saleh and Jeff Ulbrich’s defense... Grade A+

Michael Carter II looks like Brian Poole’s replacement in the slot, where he excelled during his time at Duke... The Jets covet versatility and speed on defense and Carter II fits that mold perfectly... He can play across the secondary, which likely excited Saleh and Ulbrich, and ran a 4.3 40-yard dash... Grade A-

Pinnock is a project player, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing with a late fifth-round pick... His measurables are other worldly for a cornerback, but his production doesn’t translate to anything more than developmental and/or special teams player early in his Jets career... Pinnock forced the second-most incompletions in the red zone of any player since 2019, but he also allowed 15 touchdowns in his college career with just six total interceptions... Grade C+

Hamsah Nasirildeen would have likely been a Day 2 or early Day 3 pick had he not torn his ACL at the end of the 2019 season and missed most of the 2020 season... The Jets got him with the 186th, though. Nasirildeen’s size and skillset fit well in Ulbrich’s defense and his coverage ability gives him added versatility all over the field... He was incredibly productive as a tackler in 2018 and 2019 and improved in pass defense in 2019 before his injury... Grade A+ **Sleeper**

Brandin Echols is a freakish athlete but will need a lot of coaching before he can help the Jets’ secondary... His limited production and snaps against SEC opponents is a bit of concern compared to similar players available at the time, but the Jets were likely enamored by his speed and athleticism at Kentucky... Grade B+

Jonathan Marshall may just be the best pure athlete for his position the Jets drafted on Day 3... Marshall likely won’t see the field in 2021, but his potential looks promising if the Jets coaching staff can help him clean up his fundamentals in the trenches... Grade C- **Project Player**

Outside the top pick the Jets Joe Douglas and new coaching regime hit a grand slam on this draft filling needs and making strides to improve what was a lack luster roster... Are we close to be overhauled not by far but the future starting to look much brighter... Overall Grade for 2021 Draft is A+ just because of the three Rookie Free Agent gems they signed in TE Kenny Yeboah, OL Teton Saltes & CB Isaiah Dunn whom all received guaranteed money in their contracts making them all but likely to be on the active 53...

Because I believe I understand what JD and company is trying to do here I'll give the Jets an overall B+, Maybe as high as A-. I think there were better options than Pinnock, Echols, and Marshall. I'm on the fence with Nasirildeen only because I'm hearing mixed opinions on his knee. If he is truly healthy I think he's a steal. They made up for the 3 I'm doubtful of in the undrafted free agency signings. The 3 you mentioned plus kicker Chris Nagger and edge rusher Hamilcar Rashed Jr. are all promising players. Of course, with good coaching we should probably be optimistic about all of the signings.

Hopefully, we can stash some of the developmental guys like Marshall, Echols and Pinnock on the practice squad. All three have outstanding athleticism, just need to be coached up.

New coaching staff, new schemes and same playing field for whoever decides to show up at training camp . Let the best Man win . I'm not giving anyone anything not even Zack Wilson . .

It's a darn good thing we have G around to give us all this information because other wise I would have had to just stick with the standard, "we suck fire everybody" answer because I don't know anything about any of these college players. You guys who have heard of all these guys amaze me

I like what the Jets have done in both the Draft and after the draft FA signings. One guy you didn't mention who I feel may turn out to be a steal is OT Hoge From BYU. I gave the Jets an overall A- mainly for the day 3 draft. We'll know by year 3 to see if it jumps to an A+
