It appears the Jets will be going by this approach this year which is fine as long these guys can get the good done. Tevin Coleman, Limichal Perine, Ty Johnson, Michael Carter and Josh Adams completes the RB room, if I’m correct. It doesn’t appear there are any three down, 250 plus carry, 1200 plus yard, 40 plus catches for 600 plus yards and 15 plus overall TD guys here but hopefully everyone can combine to give us something to this nature. Adams, Johnson and Perine never got the chance prove they could be our bell cow.

I’m personally rooting for the four young guys and I see no reason for Tevin Coleman to even really be a part of the running back room but if he’s the best one then so be it. He’s 27 or 28 years old and hasn’t proven himself to be a bell cow running back. Plus he’s injury prone. Whereas the other four RBs are 24 years and younger and I feel should get the opportunities to shine. I’m truly interested in Perine, Johnson and Carter. Josh Adams has been here for 2-3 years and still can get on the field.

It may start out that way, but barring injury, expect Mike Carter take command of this running game . Could also be possibly pushed by Johnson if given a fair shot .

Carter is a smaller back and may not be able to hold up carrying the load. I don't doubt his abilities in being a major contributor but Perine, Johnson or Adams has more of the size we need to carry such a load.

I don't expect any one RB to be the game to game bell cow. I see it as more of a situational and game-time opponent use of each RB's particular quality. Carter has the potential to be a real wild card and I'm excited to see how he is used, but don't expect overuse.

AGREED! If anyone gets the most carries it will be Coleman but injuries and/or his performance may knock him out of that position by games 4-5.

I'm willing to grant Coleman 1st shot up because he should know the offense but the opening day starter is up for grabs .
