I would move Crowder for Josh Sweat in a second …..
Jeff Smith like rookie Elijah Moore is an offensive weapon... Jeff a former QB gives the offense another dimension like another #16 also named Smith, Brad Smith...
Jets also like Vyncint Smith's development also a kick returner not to mention his gunner role on punts...
Berrios from the former regime is a trade chip... Keelan Cole is a punt returner...
Jamison Crowder took less money which makes it more easier to trade him... The plan was to keep him but from Corey Davis and Denzel playing angry with rookie Moore and the emergence of both Smiths this position is deep to make a move to better the roster either DE, LB, or OL... Even a move to trade for a TE could be in the plans...
From what I heard they are entertaining a move to trade Crowder for a EDGE guy...
As with Berrios they are looking for a 4th round pick or OL...

I have to admit, the idea of landing Sweat for someone like Crowder is quite appealing. The Jets, even with only one Lawson, would have a vastly improved pass rush. And there is sufficient depth at WR.
As for OL, if there was any chance to land someone who could compete with GVR at RG, and at the very least provide depth, would be quite welcome.

If we trade, what are the most important needs? CB, TE, DE, LB, OG, Back up QB or 2022 draft picks? I'm not a GVR fan and would like to get a solid addition at RG.

Crowder takes less money to stay here and then we trade him? doesn't sit right with me. I know it's a business but still

Get a good offer you strike a deal, regardless of the humanitarian side of things...
Always listen, not guaranteed they make deal but if one comes along too good to pass up you have to be fool not to take it..
