The Jets will slip enough in the draft to just miss whomever they really want. This is the Jets 🤣

I believe we may fall to 16 - 20 then Seattle's pick late 20s

I want Daniel Faelele for Right Tackle
but then take
Luke Matthews for center with Seattle's 1st...

I'd like to see them draft an explosive WR and use cap space to sign a solid RT (who's coming available?)

Trader Joe is good at acquiring draft picks, but you need to spend as well to bring in talent and veteran leadership

2nd round pick Jahan Dotson Penn State is an explosive receiver who might be next year's Elijah Moore

Get a top WR with a first round pick! We keep picking up 2nd rounder WR's who NEVER seem to pan out

Corey Davis technically is our number 1 wideout...
Denzel Mims can develop into someone good...
Elijah Moore will become something special...

Oh and I forgot this offensive pass game thrives on slot receivers...
Jahan Dotson not a slot guy but is a true game breaker...

We don't need to take a receiver in the 1st round, rather have one that has a chip on his shoulder not a guarantee of 4 year pay day with a team option 5th year...

Joe Douglas a former offensive lineman will focus 9 times out of 10 drafting offensive linemen in the first round...

a special player if there could be taken, like Kyle Hamilton from Notre Dame...
if by chance Evan Neal is available when we pick I guarantee they will choose him to play right tackle...
we need to finish the rebuild of the OL this upcoming draft...

Intriguing ability but I’m not sure I’d risk a late 1 on him. As you know GMF I would go with Linderbaum if we’re in the 10-15 range. A bit rich for a center but He would give us that 10 year anchor in the middle.

but if we are stuck at 4 that means our 2nd round pick is 36th overall add a 4th round to that and could move back into the 1st to take him...

he is slated to be picked between 22-26th overall...

like the projection is as of now 4th & 18th not 10-15 range...

so at 4th you take a game changer prospect and after this Maye shit the best coverage safety in college is Kyle Hamilton from Notre Dame...

after that readdressing the OL, and at 18th past your range for Linderbaum, the next available on any big board right now is Mekhi Becton twin from Minnesota... if anything they can stand pat at 36 and draft Luke Matthews if he falls out of the first round... Also to go along with that nastiness type player the Jets would do well in investigating Cade Mays currently a tackle but at this level would project as a Guard...

So recap RN would take:

Kyle Hamilton
Daniel Faalele

with the first two picks

then

Luke Matthews
Jahan Dotson

with the 2 2nd rounders

Trey McBride

with our 3rd rounder

Cade Mays

with our 4th rounder

Fill needs across the offense and get a stud at safety...

Hard to argue with that logic, particularly Hamilton at safety. He is a stud, but with JD's history of valuing safeties (see Adams and Maye) I'm not sure he picks one that high. I also doubt (hope) that we don't pick at 4.

it is not about JD, if you look at our history our coaches have a huge impact on what players are drafted...

With Bowles we took Adams, Maye back to back...
So far with JD yes he took Becton, Mims last year...
But this year took Wilson, AVT then Moore...

We took safeties on day 3 to convert to Linebackers...
Guarantee if Saleh and Ulbrich went to JD said we need that game changer, Douglas will take him...

and this projection is RN with our current status, I hope it changes as well and believe it will...

What does Hamilton project to, a Simmons (Denver) type player, or a convert to a hybrid OLB?
