Flacco situation is perplexing.

Retiring. Why would he want to come back to the Jets?
he retired at the end of last season then turned around and signed with the Eagles...LOL that would blow hard if he retires
to be traded back to the Jets, after that debacle is spit in the face to Flacco...
The Eagles were in a pretty bad spot in the offseason because of Wentz. Maybe he thought he would start with them and that would explain him coming back after the Wilson injury.
oh, but it gets better...If White plays ok, and Zach's injury is a two week deal, we paid a pick for a player who might not see the field or end up on the team at the end of the year. Isn't that what the practice squad or FA is for?
Mike White is in his fourth year if he plays well he is the backup moving forward, he will get a new contract and will get low balled in the process... The Jets coaching staff will have a 3rd QB as the dummy QB on the practice squad but won't have to draft a backup...
When all things look gloomy during a game they can bench Zach for the backup to come in either save the day or mop up duty...
I hope Mike White does well, two things will happen -- LaFleur's ego will go through the roof but he will also see the differences between Zach under center and a true pocket passer under center and maybe modify his approach with Zach...
Or maybe Mike White will be better than Wilson. Its not out of the realm of possibility. Wilson has a long way to even being serviceable.
2 different style quarterbacks and to this point Zach is more effective moving especially outside the pocket...
as we saw last game Mike White was effective early but still found success because he stays inside the pocket what LaFleur wants for his QB in this offense... so White may perform better, and then what will happen when or if Zach is ready to return -- will he learn from watching or will he continue to be reckless?

none of it makes much sense unless he gets Flacco on the field to start while Zach is hurt. I guess the approach has to be White has an audition this weekend -and he can hold the job with a decent performance...but if he is bad - I want Flacco net Thursday ready or not. I then want to see Mims involved in downfield targets. I want Crowder dealt and Moore in slot next Thursday. I want the LB corp stabilized. I want I want I want lol
