yeah, i said that edwards was never a DC..

as far as bolwes i stand corrected on assistant HC of the year instead of DCOY.. six in one hand half a dozen in the other but whatever..

When you think about it wining asst HC is better then DCOY because he's now a HC. One of the problems with Rex was he had trouble adjusting to being a HC.. I have been impressed with Bowles so far he may not be as entertaining as Rex but if he turns out to be 100% HC it's fine with me..

Just to keep things in perspective, there have been more than 90 posts today just on this ONE thread at NYJF

There have been FIVE posts today on the entire Scout JI forum and, by my count, three of them more or less telling Sooth how much the place sucks..

The Boston Patriots became the New England Patriots so maybe the Jets should include a couple of states that doesn't include New England.. The New Jerork Jets

Using New England as an example would dictate that the team be called the Mid Atlantic Jets. I don't like that name but I'm just saying...

New York Jets, as in NY Metro.

All teams play in their TV market, not all play within the boundaries of the city they're named for. Dallas (Arlington, TX), Washington (Landover, MD), Buffalo (Orchard Park, NY) etc. If you add those named for their state but not playing in the city they're representing, the list it's pretty big.

Hey. I'm originally from Jersey, and I prefer the New York Jets. I always said the best thing about NJ is NYC. Of course, the whole 27 years I lived in NJ, I was within 60 miles of NYC. And the last few years I lived in Hoboken. It was great being able to grab a PATH train or a Washington St bus and be in the middle of Manhattan for under a dollar. I'm sure it costs more than that now, but still.

The Nets were the NY Nets then the New Jersey Nets and now are the Brooklyn Nets..Some teams take the name of where they play or at least the state they play in..

Skipping the Jets/Giants controversy here, and other than the NE pussies, name one single major sports franchise NOT named after either the city the team plays in, or the state that city is in.
The fact that NE does name themselves other than the actual state or city they play in, is all the more reason why the Jets should adopt the NJ name.
