With a very good running game next year….

What an awful response and laughable post.

■ Mike White was drafted in 2018 (4 years ago) and is 26 years old.

■ Zach Wilson is a rookie drafted in 2021 (this year) and is only 22 years old.

And if asking for upgrades @ RT/C/TE/WR is a slight against Zach Wilson? Well, then...

You sound CLUELESS

LMAO...right?!?!?

"no, Zach...thou shalt not haveth a completed Wall, and thou shalt not haveth adequate weaponry...for thine will only proveth you are worthy of pulling Excalibur from the stone by thrashing the beasts with only thine bare hands".

Here’s what it boils down to folks . This offensive coaching staff has put 4 QB on the field and the worst of the 4 is the guy who was drafted the highest.
Zach “Opie” Wilson has some splaining to do and a ton to prove before I am convinced he’s nothing but another mistake.

these guys turned out pretty well. i bet there are those who are happy they waited, and gave them a team to play with, right?

I don’t want to cut bait on Wilson . I am just acknowledging the fact that right now he’s a hindrance to the development of the rest of the team offensively.

It's all about the O-Line and with Becton injured; this O-Line stinks.

LT: Evan Neal (Alabama, Jets 1st round pick).
LG: Alijah Vera-Tucker.
C: Tyler Linderbaum (Iowa, Seattle 1st round pick).
RT: Mekhi Becton.

We have a chance to leave the 1st round with 4 blue chip O-Line prospects and THAT IS HOW YOU BUILD A WALL AROUND YOUR #2 OVERALL PICK @ QB.

use our two 2nd round picks on TE and WR too.
Wanna know what makes Jones look so much better than Wilson . He has a defense that gets him the ball in advantageous positions and protects him when he makes mistakes.
our defense can’t stop the run or defend a screen but we should forget about that and build the best offense we can to make our QB into a QB.

olive branch?

right now, he is the weakest performer of the youngsters...you got no argument from me; the eyes tell the story.
so, when he struggles, they all do.

but the rest of the kiddos like him, and he is on their talent level if not higher.
when he hits his stride, they know they are onto another stratosphere that White and a has been cannot take them.

sorry man but you don't need blue chippers or upgrades for each of those positions you need players that fit the scheme there is a difference...

can draft a 7th round receiver that fits the scheme better than a Top 5 wide out...

just like 2nd year undrafted free agent Austin Walter looked like he is a part of this offense comparing him to La'Mical Perine a 4th round pick yes last year but has basically been inactive all season long...

how bout Braxton Berrios a 6th round pick, Jamison Crowder a 4th round pick fit the scheme they are not blue chippers as you would say...

please think before you type... Mike White with the same group of players succeeded because he is a pocket quarterback that thrives on the quick short pass, which this offense was designed for...

I gotta go with @DefenseWinsChampionships...although i hear you LOUD AND CLEAR!! .

"if" we build/complete the Defense first, then we are asking that same D to be on the field to do their jobs more often than they should have to, because we don't have (a.) a line to see drives to fruition, and (b.) don't have playmakers to take advantage of what a stacked OLine can give them.

I want a bit of both this year...i want to trade down our firsts to stockpile both "blockers" and "tacklers".
use FA to rent a stud or two at WR, CB, and Edge while we have every unit stacked with good to great players.
then, in the next two subsequent drafts, get our own WR's, CB's, and Edge's.

but first, get the OLine complete.

Vera-Tucker cemented his role but is the reason Becton is injured...

Again your ideals of who is blue chippers and who are scheme fit is way off based...

brother, you had me until the Mike White thing...personally, i hope he gets another opportunity to completely put this to bed, because his last start against the Bills is what you're going to get from him. Dinks and Dunks are really nice when a D is keyed in on taking away other throws. But they are just as easy to take away as they are to take for the picking.

the best guard is TAMU Kenyon Green but the best scheme fit guard is Zion Johnson BC...
want to know the difference between the two?

Kenyon Green is a Top 10 selection
Zion Johnson is a 2nd Round pick that may go in the late 1st

Same goes for Tackle there are plenty of prospects that we can target doesn't mean they fit the ideals of this offense... Reason meaning if they don't fit or can not do their job - Hospital Room 911 for Zach Wilson is reserved...

Building is crucial to find the right pieces...

I say they don't draft one of the top 5 centers this year because he believes in McGovern...
They could draft one of three day 2 guards that will suffice to develop along with Wilson and the rest of the group...
But I do agree they need to draft a first round offensive tackle someone who is capable left tackle but will be our right tackle...

Evan Neal like I said is a right tackle, if Becton gets hurt we won't be able to move Neal over to the left side it is not his game...
Players like Darian Kinnard, Kentucky or Trevor Penning Northern Iowa are options and considered mid first round players...

Drafting a formidable receiver there are plenty of options but a couple of mid round options to consider because of their skill set Zay Flowers BC, Jayden Reed Michigan State are two... I do prefer Jahan Dotson but he is a first round pick with out a doubt...

Tight ends this year late 2nd round on we will be able to get a couple if that is the decision of Joe Douglas...

Mike White's game against the Bills was bad but two of those interceptions were tipped balls he is a dink and dunk quarterback they took away the short game played under and he is not one to push the ball over the top...

did the run game do anything to open up the pass game?

may i play Devil's Advocate?

Neal is available at #4, and Linderbaum is there at #5...if you take them, don't you have, in theory, 2 of the best in biz to stack with Mt. Becton and AVT; also, in theory 2 of the best in the biz.

...they make every runner better.
...they give every receiver added time on routes.
...they keep every Q cleaner.

so if LaFleur goes to DETR in a year, and the system is gone to a ground and pound, we still have the 4 of the best 5 pieces you can get, right?

FTR, i want to finish the NY Skyscrapers Wall with starters at RT, RG, and C this year, and i am with you...those pieces can be had in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

I don’t want to build one side of the ball and not the other. I want to build a complete team that can compete yearly while considering the future cap implications.
I have no problem with getting another offensive lineman early but I also want a real NT to pair with Q or a stud edge to get after the QB .
Our secondary is developing nicely believe it or not . I still have hope for our kiddie Linebacker core. We need an edge to protect us in case Lawson doesn’t come back right and. NT who can clog up the middle of the defend and allow our kiddies to do what they do best which is run and hit .
You want the OT from nana, fine, then give me the NT from Georgia.
Disclaimer: I have an affinity for Georgia defensive players .

we won't be picking 4 and 5...

Seattle plays tonight against Washington...

Seattle wins then we switch with them and yes both 4th and 5th pick is there BUT they lose then it is the 4th and 8th pick...

Joe Douglas may take Neal at 4th but with the Giants at 6 and 7 right now they will take Linderbaum as they need OL worse then we do...

Just saying right now looks good on paper but Linderbaum just don't know I have seen better tape on other center prospects that fit what we do who are NOT 1st round guys... Just saying until we are cemented in our picks no reason to dream of what ifs...

Same goes for Nose Tackle from Georgia you want him but don't want to re-sign Folorunso Fatukasi?
I doubt Nathan Sheperd will be back but there possible former Saleh players that will be free agents that they may want to sign, again just saying...

no, but then again...did Mike do anything to open the run game? there in lies the futility of "take what they give you philosophy" when used in a myopic fashion; stacked passing lanes are also stacked boxes.

there is always something open, but they aren't always easy...you have to be willing to rip those, because the windows on them will close quickly. I will put all my chips in on Zach being able to make the Mac Jones plays with ease in time before i put all my chips in on Mike making a D pay for stacking the box/lanes.

put it this way 6 games to go I will be happy if Zach Wilson completes 40% of his short under 10 yard throws in the last 6 games...

giving him a low bar to succeed, can we all agree on that?

we know he can hit the 12 yard pass and the 20 and beyond but it is the crucial dink and dunk he stunk it up... Even shoveling it to his runningbacks ass for an interception... So Mark Sanchez known for the butt fumble... Zach Wilson known for the buttception...

play calling didn't help either...

routes to the flat with linebackers playing up, corners play off and safeties setting down middle took away everything now if we had that one physical runner that could of pounded and loosened the defensive pressure some oh yeah that dude was inactive for the game basically the season...

I don't think ML knows how to deploy him, yet when we had Adams running it for big gains he was okay with that... Just amazing the coaching staff and their ideals for the offense when there are other players wasting away when their skill sets could be the spark we need from time to time...

I was only playing Devil's Advocate, bc i believe in best player over scheme...in large part.
but we track together...RT, RG, and C can be had later and they can be starters for a decade.

Jordan Davis is a monster, but Perrion in the 2nd is no slouch.
I am up in the air on Foley...I love him, but more often than not he doesn't collapse pockets; same for Shep.
