If I’m Morgan I would retire before I came back to the Jets. I know it’s the business, but still seems shitty especially when JD really wasted that pick.
To be honest, of all the players JD has drafted the only one I never understood was Perine . There’s nothing really interesting about him . I can come up with a solid reason for everyone, even Morgan but I got nothing for Perine.
Who knows, perhaps it was a coach's pick.
Joe Douglas admitted La'Mical Perine was his pick he called him a luxury selection meaning he has potential but with the right coaching staff he could be something...
Not every player fits every scheme but Perine is more of a power back then anything and this current scheme is based on elusive/receiving backs which Perine is not... Would of at least tried him as a fullback before giving up on him like LaFleur did... Does he have trade value is the question and if you can get a 7th round pick for him after this season that has to be the plan... Teams like the Bengals love their Perines, could be one destination...

Ty Johnson actually was the odd man out, now he is reverse and Perine is the odd man out as Adams is already gone...
That is why I questioned not giving him a chance..... To waste a fourth is a big mistake
He blew his chance when he left . When he decided to leave the Jets picked up Johnson.
I still think he will be back at some point if he wants to.

Morgan was here because we drafted him but they signed Josh before training camp...
Both were released/waived on the same day...
Both were suppose to sign with the practice squad...
But James Morgan wanted to go elsewhere, we kept Josh but they wanted to keep both...
