Cruising the Jags message board tonight. Their fan base is obliterating Lawrence. His play is regressing, he sucks, he is a bust. BLAH BLAH BLAH. The one thing I garnered though…… is the fans are blaming Urban and CS for his regression more so that’s Lawrence’s abilities . The Jags have ruined him…. BLAH BLAH. It’s exactly like us….. Now my question is …… Is it the CS not putting Zach in a position to succeed? Or is Wilson un coachable and not doing what’s being asked of him? I saw something with Mims today that made me think. Mims fucks up with back to back penalties and gets yanked, rightly so. But he is not being effectively taught… or his he just plain stupid ? It seems to me this may be more of a coaching thing….either ineffectual communication or an inability to recognize talent and deploy it properly. Zach seems more comfortable outside the pocket, so why insist he be a pocket passer? Cant we craft something to play to his strengths. Now in Mims case….. i think he is just plain stupid

Trevor Lawrence was drafted into a situation where the college head coach wanted the fame and recognition of an NFL head coach but isn't prepared for all the scrutiny it comes along with, they are already talking about one of the assistants taking over for him because he seems like he is checked out... They have no running game, they have a few receivers but are using them all wrong... There defense has potential but Lawrence like Wilson is predetermining his routes in staring down options, no running game they just have to sit back and wait for him to attempt a throw... Here is the thing looking at his game you can find the positives even with all the interceptions, he still completes passes and his players are yards after catch, can not say that about Wilson...

Watch the sack of Lawrence his team mates go over to him and pick him up and tell him its okay...
Watch Zach take a sack, throw a pick fumble the ball whatever there is simply no respect from these players to him on the field in front of fans is what it is... players are not going to throw him under the bus, wait for those players to find new teams after this season then the stories will come out... Coaching staff tied themselves to him so they are not going to talk bad about him... today's post game presser Saleh admitted Zack needs to do better but tried to cover for him to the media...

I think they now know they fudged this pick there is something just wrong with his ego, mentality maybe he is a sliver spoon player or just wants to be Aaron Rodgers without putting in the work, don't know yet but my scouting report was on point he plays better moving the pocket he will take the shot to the chest, but wants to hero applause to be that guy the hero in the fans eyes...

The difference is he didn’t make the BYU program better, those players just allowed him to be him because it helped the team

he did the same thing there only difference is the 1% of college athletes that come to the NFL are all here, they are all elite...
the teams and players he played against took that overall rating of 80 down to 30-40, so even with his lack of a short game he was able to take those deep shots...

Yeah…. I noticed that too. I mentioned it in a Mike White thread a few weeks back. The team seems to like and respect White more than Wilson

that character issue is unnerving...
at the same time, players are probably upset that he was handed the keys never really earned it and he has that bravado that it is his job and no one except an injury he gets will take his job away from him...
he plays like he doesn't care, because if he did he would show emotion, something to show he cares...

I hate being right, because it is another two years of shit play from a QB with this mentality he is going to alienate the fans...
