2 Linebacker's stats: 225 Tackles 143 Solo

When I see that stat line I am like ooh we have great run defenders problem is most of those tackles are in pursuit after the running backs break past the first line and get into the second level...

The Jets defensive line can not fill the gaps properly and are susceptible to back door cuts...

Our best linebackers in this scheme are the only ones that are on the field, to me that is a problem...

Especially when neither of the two that can tackle they can not cover and are a liability out there...

Could CJ be on the trading block, I know big contract but he is still a productive player...

CJ Mosley leads the way with 132 tackles
Quincy Williams second on the team with 93

Kind of concerning, but fixable...

Quincy has the wheels to track both running backs and tight ends in coverage but his technique is raw but think of the two he is the one to keep... Wonder if they will entertain, trading CJ?

Think the FO should look to extend Quincy this off season and if they can get a trade partner for Mosley should jump at it. That contract will make it tough though.

they were adding a 3rd round talent that seemed he got lost on that Jax roster...
JD wasn't doing favors was signing talent at an affordable cost...

That's why we should try to extend him. It's a win win situation. He makes considerably more in 2022, Jets save over the balance of the contract.
Franchise tag for LB in 2022 jumps to near 17.5 mill and will go up for 2023 when he will be due his contract.
