this is Mekhi Becton's health scale and yes I used formula I had resources too

weighing in at 370 which I believe he now is at 362 pounds needs to get down to around 351 - 352 to be at optimal weight for his size...

Uh huh......weight muscle vs fat is important of in shape or not. If he put on 20lbs of muscle on his legs compared to 20lbs fat on gut for his legs to carry. Point is to stay in shape in off season and not put on 40lbs+ in flab fat to lose in 8 weeks.

So here is my question...This was a 6-8 week injury. Did he have a setback? Not able to get back into shape?? It has to be one or the other right?

Does it really matter right now

It matters if he is being lazy. Luckily the Jets can draft his replacement if necessary. I just think he should have been able to get back on the field unless the injury was way more serious which is entirely possible..

it is more confidence thing at this point he is not planting with force kinda like how Zach was but then Wilson lied that he was 100% and Mekhi knows he needs his legs especially his knee to be 100% to set an anchor different between a lineman and quarterback...

trust me when he is ready he will be back... even the trainers have been hesitant to clear him because of that unsureness he is presenting doing workouts with the strength and conditioning coaches...

BMI method is not a percentage.
How to Convert BMI to Body Fat Percentage

Conversion Formulas
A study published in the International Journal of Obesity and Related Metabolic Disorders in 2002 compared four different formulas for converting BMI into an estimate of body fat percentage and came up with what the authors determined may be a more accurate formula. This formula states that adult body fat percentage is equal to (1.39 x BMI) + (0.16 x age) - (10.34 x gender) - 9, with gender equal to 1 for men and 0 for women to account for the lower body fat percentage of men.

is he lazy? was it more serious than we were told? or, maybe he was told take additional time, because (1.) of the way that Moses and Fant rose to the challenge giving ample time to be (truly) as good as new, and (2.) he wouldn't be coming back to a playoff push anyway.

For someone of Mekhi's build, he can lose that with 3 trips to the bathroom.

No doubt!!! 19.1 pounds for a person of that size can be accomplished in no time; although, probably not by 3 trips to the lavatory...LMAO :rofl2:

Something is up with this. He should have been back by now. I mentioned awhile back I doubt you would see him back this season. At this point…… why bother ? To me….. if we have a shot at an elite LT in the draft, you gotta take it. Move Becton to RT and keep Fant at swing ……. Becton may not like the move…. But too bad for him. In reality…. he seems more like a mauler which is perfect for a RT anyways

Becton's our LT for now. If we draft the kid from Alabama or NC State, both can play either RT, LT or RG. Problem solved. I still believe that Becton is our future at LT.

I concur with this. Sometime earlier, there was talk on this forum about picking a RT at the top of the draft. That would be a reach for RT. We need somebody more athletic at LT.

Oh, I thought you were posting his BMI. A lot of times, people compute BMI and call it a percentage when it isn't. Just computed it. At 362 lbs, Becton's BMI is 40.8 at 370lbs, it would be 370. Either way, he's morbidly obese.

Jets are forever "drafting replacements". We waste high draft picks like water. Who picks 2 QBs in the top 5 picks in three years? Not critical of your post, critical of Jets. The glory of SB III is done, yet the devil remains.devils-beard-clipart-6.jpgJoe Stache.jpg

I'm all about a draft pick on the OL......the Edogas, McDermotts, etc are not going to elevate this team and Becton is screaming at the GM he needs Plan B
