Official Game Thread: Jaguars at Jets

The NY Jets will return home in Week 16 to take on a lowly Jacksonville Jaguars team fresh off a 14-point loss to the previously two-win Houston Texans. For as bad as the Jets are, the Jaguars are likely worse.

That's why, for the first time since Week 4 of the 2020 season, the Jets open as favorites at home, albeit by a slim margin. The Jets are coming off a hard-fought loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 15 and would love to add another tally to their win column.

The Jaguars, fresh off firing Urban Meyer, sit at 2-12 with the fast track to the No. 1 overall pick. However, a victory over the Jets would push them to third giving the Jets a top-two pick heading into the final two weeks of the season.

Draft position is on the line in this lowly AFC battle.

They do have a pretty good running back and a half way decent defense who can get after the QB, lol .

I hate to say this but it is better if we lose the game...
if Detroit wins, Houston wins, we lose after Sunday if no other games are postponed the Jets will have the No. 1 pick heading into the final two games of the season...

That is leverage for whatever team is drooling for a QB like Matt Carrol to give up the kitchen sink, cabinets, appliances and a maid to get that pick from Joe "I'm gonna fleece you" Douglas...

I think we all want to see progress and if we see that and they do not win - so be it. We all know the Jets will win and not get the best draft position.

If I was Saleh, I would be having an off-the-record talk with Sack about 'business decisions'. He is missing most of his offensive line and we don't need him taking an injury which puts him out until the middle of next season or permanently affects his mobility or throwing arm. So, get rid of it after three-Mississippi, go down early in the teeth of a rush, don't go head first into tackles. And call a lot of hand-offs.
