Because that’s what you put out there TCT. Besides Darnold, I can’t think of one Jets player you stuck by. If I’m wrong then so be it but I can’t think of one except Darnold. Not sure why everyone thinks I just give up on everyone. I usually just say what I know at the moment. Only two at the moment worth a shit are Hall and Mann. Becton is the wild card. Rounds 2-4 should and probably will be cut.

We’ll just remember that this is a marathon and not a 40-yard dash race. This won’t be done over night. Yes we all want it to but it won’t. Jets have been not only been horrible for a decade or so now but dysfunctional at the same damn time and that won’t be changed over night. We will probably have another two years of losing or non playoffs before the true winning starts to be honest.Well there haven't been many Jets players worth sticking by since 2018 when we drafted Darnold. This team has drafted a bunch of guys that either aren't in the league anymore or won't ever make a Pro Bowl. Just because the Jets draft them doesn't mean I have to like it and stick by them. This forum should be very happy now that DWC is here because he will write an essay about all the great picks the Jets have made.
If we look at JD's two drafts I like Bryce Hall, Mann and hope Becton becomes a great player. So far I have seen great upside, but he has been hurt the majority of his two years. This years draft I have admitted Zach is making progress. Having the longest streak without an interception for any Jets QB is great and sad at the same time. Michael Carter RB seems to have some talent, but can't seem to stay healthy. AVT seems like a stud. Elijah Moore seems like he is going to be a handful for any team, but he will also be injured a lot IMO. The rest of that draft I can't comment on since I don't watch most of the games and they haven't made enough of an impact so far. So just because it seems like I'm not supporting a player that may not be true. I may just not not have seen enough to comment on them.
Believe me I want to be excited about the Jets. Many will say the Jets have won twice as many games this year and I say the Jets have won 2 more games with two of those wins vs bottom 5 teams. Going from 2 to 4 is not impressive, but they played very well this week and have a chance to win or put another competitive game together. That will be a nice end to the season with a springboard to next year. The Jets played a lot of young players which should pay off next year if they are good players. If JD can actually have an impactful draft with 4-5 future pro bowl caliber players, the rebuild can be take a huge leap. He drafted role players that fit Saleh's defense after the 4th round this year so I think the first 4 picks this year have to be elite players. Yes I know pro bowl means nothing, but asking for All Pro caliber players would be a lot to ask for. If he has another 2020 draft then the Jets will be a 6-11 team next year. Now if anyone can show me a great pro bowl caliber player the Jets have drafted since 2018 that I have missed please mention them. This team will get my support when they show me the progress I want to see. Until then every player can and should be criticized. At the end of the day they have won 6 games in two seasons and that is not acceptable.
If it takes that long something will have gone wrong. I personally expect a big jump next season once the new teammates settled. Something like what Miami did this year because I think we just might have the best QB in the division. We’ll just remember that this is a marathon and not a 40-yard dash race. Progression is the key and as long as we see that over these next two years, we’re on our way. I’d say 4 wins this year because we all know they are going to lose to Buffalo next week, 6-7 wins next year and hopefully 9-10 after that, year three rather. That 9-10 wins probably won’t be enough to get to the playoffs but the steady progression is what counts the most! By year four the Jets should be a playoff contender. Maybe even more!!!
