Remember we all say Wilson will get better but so may Jones. Plus how many other very good to great qbs are they now in the NFL those teams may improve too. Four or five lets say two of those get good teams under them.

Let’s just say that it was the Jets defense playing the way buffalo’s did on last evening. I wonder what this fan base would be saying today .
Our team played a game against the Bengals with Jamar Chase in the lineup and we did well on defense . We played that same Bills team a few weeks before and we did much better than what was shown by the Chiefs defensively. We played the Bucs and we did well defensively. Our team is not near finished being assembled and we supposedly caught these teams all sleeping .
I have been saying the same exact thing from the beginning but all everyone wants to talk about is building an offense . 2 offensive teams squared off on yesterday and neither of them remembered to pack their defense. The results were 30 points within 2 minutes. Without a complete team and regardless whether they took us likely or not we played them closely. I like our chances going forward .
Had to fire him. He stopped talking to the FO and his coaching staff in November. Was leaving early, not attending meetings etc.
I'm hoping you are right. JD has no excuses as far as I'm concerned. He has tons of money and draft picks. A complete turnaround next year should be expected. Not baby steps.
And that’s the problem . How exactly are you supposed to have a complete turnaround when you’re starting a bunch of kids and bringing them into your system for the first time . Before yesterday, I knew who Gabriel Davis was, but he never had a game or even a semblance of a game like he did on yesterday .
On defense, how do you not double Hill and Kelcie in overtime with 13 seconds left in the game ? If anyone is going to beat you it ought not be the 2 best receiving players on the opposing team . Yesterday I felt like those games were written by a Hollywood producer .
Well Gabriel was drafted 4 spots after JD drafted his Hackenberg.
Yeah we won 4 fucking games. Why do some people see this as an accomplishment?
It’s like looking at highlights and deciding that the player is a first day pick . Perception vs reality . It’s not about the 4 games we won but how we played the entire season .
You win some , you lose some . I don’t remember anyone complaining when the Jets drafted Mims or even after the season ended in 2021 .

Well they only won 6 which is how many JD has won since we started keeping track because year 1 didn't count.
Will you stop harping about that draft . It was made for a completely different coaching staff with a completely different game plan .
They got blown out in 1/3 of their games. They had 4 wins and 2 of those vs NFL teams with the other two vs HS rosters. They played well in 2-3 other games. The rest of their losses I would say they played as expected.
For a coach he knew he would fire. So we can't count year one or the first draft. Can someone tell me when we should start counting JD's record?
Well then 1 offseason was a total bust and the other has some promise, but the jury is out for sure.
Then why do you have boner when we won only 2 more games. Turnarounds can be done quickly. If Wilson is a FQB it will speed it up, but I just think it should be ok to question JD besides just his obvious health decisions. I've never told anyone not to be excited. I just don't get excited over two more wins. Some have said we won twice as many. Well then I expect 16-1 in 2023.

So we should expect 1-2 players per draft to be studs?? Its going to be 2030 before we are competitive at that rate. Wirfs missed one game not a whole season and many games in first year. Becton is a bust until he proves otherwise.

I'm not saying he shouldn't have blown it up, but what he does with those assets are what I'm questioning. So far I'm not impressed with anything other than the assets he has procured and the money he has been able to amass. We will see what he does this year, but it needs to be a major turnaround not just 2 more wins.
The job of a GM as far as I understand it is to work together with the HC and acquire players that support the vision of that HC . Let’s say you are 100% right and JD knew he was firing Gase . He would also have had to know he would be hiring Saleah and the coaching staff we currently have and drafted players to fit what plan they would institute going forward. .
I said it before but maybe you missed it . I don’t believe that this coaching staff would have chosen Becton over Wirfs based on the type of scheme we run . Also if I am not mistaken, Witfs plays RT while Becton plays LT when he plays . As has been proven by Fant this season, some players do better on certain sides .
