Lamar Jackson should/will drop. We started to see the potential for injury and his continued lack of patience in the pocket. These will be his downfall. I also think that Mack Jones is overrated and will drop as well.
Agree with both your assessments but as for now they stay where they belong

Gotta agree also with @DefenseWinsChampionships about Stafford and Murray . Can’t about Winston.

The only reason I left Stafford off is because I considered him a part of the old guard .

PS: I think Dak Prescott deserves to be bumped up from Honorable Mention to The Stars.

All-Time he's got a QB Rating of 98.7 and at 28 years old that's 5th All-Time (behind only Mahomes, Watson, Rodgers and Wilson and also tied with Drew Brees).

And this year despite returning from a gruesome and I mean gruesome injury he still led Dallas to the #1 Offensive Attack (#1 in Total Yards and #1 in Points Scored).

And also put up crazy statistics of 410/596 (68.8%), 4,449 Passing Yards, 37 TDs/10 INTs and an insane QB Rating of 104.2 (only behind Rodgers/Burrow).

And led his team to a 12-5 record.

It's just my opinion but if the likes of Burrow/Herbert/Allen/Jackson are all considered Star QBs (and rightfully so) well then I've gotta include Dak Prescott as one of those NFL QB stars too. He's awesome.
As you wish

And to get back on topic?

Just look at these top tier AFC QBs. It's scary. And if both Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson live up to their hype/potential?

Kansas City: Patrick Mahomes.
Cincinnati: Joe Burrow.
Buffalo: Josh Allen.
Chargers: Justin Herbert.
Baltimore: Lamar Jackson.
Jacksonville: Trevor Lawrence.
New York Jets: Zach Wilson.

(I've got him on the bottom in order to climb and work his way up).

Talk about fully loaded with young AFC QB talent and imo like never before too. If Zach Wilson and Trevor Lawrence take off? Man. The AFC will become truly unpredictable and many of QB rivalries will form amongst one another.

I grew up in the days throughout my 1990s childhood of...

Miami Dolphins: Dan Marino.
Buffalo Bills: Jim Kelly.
Denver Broncos: John Elway.
Houston Oilers: Warren Moon.
N.E Patriots: Drew Bledsoe.
Kansas City Chiefs: Joe Montana (before retiring).

And then the NEW WAVE (2000s) came of...

New England Patriots: Tom Brady.
Indianapolis Colts: Peyton Manning.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Ben Roethlisberger.
San Diego Chargers: Philip Rivers.
Cincinnati Bengals: Carson Palmer.
Tennessee Titans: Steve McNair (on his way out).
Oakland Raiders: Rich Gannon (on his way out).

(What's sad to me is Chad Pennington. Before injury he was one of the best young gun QBs and without injury I think he would've went down as an All-Time great).

I don't think we'll ever see another AFC Tom Brady win 6 rings (not even Patrick Mahomes) but when I look at these young gun QBs within the AFC as of right now, today? Man. I think I'm seeing more potential than the 90s and 2000s and to me; it's exciting (as long as Zach Wilson joins the party).
I believe he will and be right in there with the top 3 of Mahommes, Burrows and Allen . Maybe a4th if I include Herbert .

We've gotta put Matthew Stafford somewhere. Maybe not under Stars but at least somewhere. I don't care where but somewhere he's in the NFC Championship Game for crying out loud 😆

i was going to post something about Jimmy G with the same rationale, but he is 30.

Not sure I would place Zack or Fields in the challenger category. They are with Lance in the unknown category

Can’t agree . Both guys have a ton of game experience and have shown remarkable improvement from the start of the season until the end. Lance and Love are truly unknown commodities .
Tua on the other hand is there because he appears to be a man without a team .

I agree with everything you've got to say on the challenger and unknown categories.

But I can't agree with Mac Jones being an honorable mention (instead of challenger).

▪︎ Bill Belichick only letting him throw the ball 3x week 13 was a red flag to me.

▪︎ Going 14/32 two weeks later with 0 TDs and 2 INTs vs. that same Buffalo Defense was a reminder to me, on why Bill Belichick only let him throw the ball 3x vs. Buffalo (just two weeks earlier).

▪︎ Getting blown out by Josh Allen and the Bills 47-17 and looking really bad in the playoffs while doing so was another red flag to me.

I know he had a very good Rookie season and made the playoffs but him finishing the season 1-4 during his final 5 games while tossing 7 INTs during that 1-4 record kind of left a bad taste in my mouth (for example. Zach Wilson went 10 games in a row without throwing multiple INTs during a single game to end the season but yet Mac Jones had 3 games of multiple INTs during only his final 5 games).

He definitely had a better Rookie sseason than Zach Wilson. I can't deny that. But he started to become a turnover machine towards the end of the season and looked awful come playoff Football once the pressure was on. Imo. I put him #1 and at the top of the challengers bracket.

PS: I don't even really care about the rankings this is a fun thread so thnx 4 creating for us to speculate.
I went back and forth about where to put Matt Jones . I ended up putting him there because despite what I really think, the guy actually put up some excellent numbers in his rookie season . I think Him and Lamar will be bumped by Lawrence and Wilson eventually but for now, I gotta give credit where credit is due.

Well…. We keep our fingers crossed . With Lawrence, Zach and Fields its so hard to tell simply because none of them had any consistent weapons. Davis is a #2 (and had a lot of drops this year), no TE, Cole, Smith, and Mims are meh…. And I’m not as high as some about Moore. I feel he is more of a slot guy than a WR, and I would like to see him in a Tyreek mold ( although I know the speed isn’t there, but the elusiveness is) . Hopefully they can get Zach weapons he can grow with because he is certainly smart enough (like Brady) to succeed
