Or me but he can ask .Not from me
Not giving him that eitherI love his game as a WR and imo the #1 and best receiver in all of Football but I think $30M is nuts for a WR.
$20M-22M? Yes.
$30M? Extreme.
Not sure if you heard about it but there’s this thing in the NFL called a salary cap and it’s a hard cap .What if he goes to the Cincinnati Bengals?
Joe Burrow to both Chase and then Adams?
Omg.
That's Peyton Manning to Harrison/Wayne all over again.
yeah he will need to burrow underground if this continuesBurrow will continue to get sacked 9 times in some games if they don't fix that OL. His career will be short.
The salary cap can be manipulated with restructuring contracts, converting salary to bonuses and spreading the money out over several years. Look at the Saints. They have been doing it for a decade. Now they are really up against the wall for it.A.) I'm well aware how the salary cap works.
B.) Cincinnati has the 3rd most available salary cap space.
C.) $59,151,979 in available salary cap space.
D.) Joe Burrow is playing under his Rookie contract.
E.) If Cincinnati wanted to make it happen they'd easily be able to afford to do so and for a matter of fact only the Dolphins/Jaguars/Bengals/Chargers/Jets are the only teams who can afford him.
F.) There's even rumors of Aaron Rodgers + Adams to Denver and Denver doesn't even have more salary cap space available than those 5 teams mentioned above so I ask myself... how real is the salary cap to begin with?
for both of them in a trade it starts with 3 1st 3 2nds then at least a couple of players among some other mid round picksThe salary cap can be manipulated with restructuring contracts, converting salary to bonuses and spreading the money out over several years. Denver can easily free up the cap to sign both, but dont believe they have the draft capital to acquire Adams. Rodgers will cost them this years 1st,2nd, 3rd and next years first. I cant see them trading more future picks for Adam's who will very likely be a tag and trade.
Jerry Judey has been mentioned and had a pretty cryptic tweet a day or 2 ago.for both of them in a trade it starts with 3 1st 3 2nds then at least a couple of players among some other mid round picks
Could see Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick be a part of the trade among some other key needs of the Packers
2 players, one of the best QBs in the league, MVP, coupled with the best WR in the league. Would instantly become Super Bowl contenders.I'm sorry but no player, regardless of position, Aaron Rodgers or not; is worth no multiple 1st round picks + 2nd round and 3rd round picks too... @ the age of 38 years old.
If Aaron Rodgers were a true Free Agent like Tom Brady was before leaving N.E and heading into Tampa Bay? Sure. Why not.
But Aaron Rodgers being 38 years old? And an NFL team would have to trade away multiple 1st round picks for him (and then some more draft capital)? Are you kidding me?
What leverage does Green Bay even have? If they're trading him away it's only because Aaron Rodgers wants to leave GB and wants no part of them anymore; so why does Green Bay become the team who's deserving of multiple 1st round picks?
Makes no sense to me.
Whichever NFL team is stupid enough to give a desperate and hopeless Green Bay Front Office multiple 1st round picks for a 38 year old QB; that GM will shortly thereafter be fired.
good thing you are a Jets fan, Broncos love buying Super Bowl opportunities...Multiple 1st round picks? No thanks man.
Different era. QBs took so much more of a beating back then. Even If Rodgers ends up same as Manning, a couple of super bowls. What's that worth?I'm all for Adams but Rodgers is 38 years old and outside of only Tom Brady almost every single All-Time QB has fallen off a cliff once approaching 40 years old we seen it with Montana we seen it with Steve Young we seen it with Manning and we'll probably see it with Aaron Rodgers; because it happens over night too.
Multiple 1st round picks? No thanks man.
for an organization that does not know how to build from the ground up and hasn't done it in long while prominence and time to actually either buy more or build fresh but availability to win now is worth to some teams to sell out to get it...Different era. A couple of Super Bowls is something most teams will never even sniff. If the Jets had a better roster, I'd be all in on the trade.for an organization that does not know how to build from the ground up and hasn't done it in long while prominence and time to actually either buy more or build fresh but availability to win now is worth to some teams to sell out to get it...
Adams alone is a luxury signingA couple of Super Bowls is something most teams will never even sniff. If the Jets had a better roster, I'd be all in on the trade.
I agree completely. But for some teams it makes sense.Adams alone is a luxury signing
Trading for Rodgers if we had anything resembling a team
But we are not and do not have anything resembling a competitive team or ownership
