this is a question better answered after next season is over …..
the real question should be what type of talent will they add and will Zach buy in where he left off or try to come back as he started from the beginning of last season?

▪︎ Where would Burrow be without Chase?
▪︎ What would Mahomes be without Hill/Kelce?
▪︎ Where would Stafford be without Kupp & OBJ?
▪︎ And what would Josh Allen be without Diggs?
don't need to answer that, because the talent is one thing but the coaching and game plan has elevated the talent surrounding the quarterback as well lets not forget it is a team aspect coaching drives the talent...

Guys just rattled off Mahomes, Allen, Hebert, L. Jackson,
You also have Carr and Tannehill
With Burrow in the Super Bowl, How the Fuck am I reading on NFL network, that Mac Jones added to probowl roster?!?! Whaaaaa?!?!??

I agree but as a coach I don't think you can consistently win, without talent. You can be the greatest coach in the world but you aren't winning without absolute talent first and foremost.
but coaches or the right coaches can accentuate the production by modifying the game plan to benefit the talent they have...

some talent is better than others but the talent at this level is the crème della crème 1% of the college top tier talent so they all have the ability just maximizing it to make it successful at this level comes down to coaching and execution...

Both Stafford and Burrow have a crap load of Offensive firepower weapons too.

And I know it's a team game. Just look at my username.

But I'm not a fool. I know the QB position is the most important (to build around).
Leading by 18 points the Chiefs lost because all their offensive play makers couldn’t stop the Bengals offense . Funny thing is the Bengals defense found a way to stop all those play makers in the second half and overtime.
Yes you need to have a QB . Yes you need to be able to protect that QB . You also need to be able to effect the opposing QB. If not you get what you got between the Bills and the Chiefs and between the Chiefs and the Bengals.

Offense @ O-Line/WR/TE
that is why continuing building the OL the proper way with the right pieces not the glorified media choices of their top talent, the talent that fits our team and what we are building is important but at same time if we pick the right players we can fill all needs this year and continue to progress with chemistry and continuity... Not saying we will be next like the Bengals this year BUT we will be better than we have been the last decade with a bright future... Trey McBride is the consensus number one tight end, he is now being mocked as high as 18... The Jets like him and Charlie Kolar while they also like Jake Ferguson but they brought in Dillon for the similarities they all share...

we need a compliment to Moore, hopefully through the draft... yes they need another running back but right now they believe they have a tandem of Carter & Walter to start with...

look at the Senior Bowl of the talent the Jets coaches selected for their team...

they took players they can relate with, and all the position groups are of the same build...

it actually allows you to get a better understanding of what our team is looking for and how or what they will be seeking to sign and/or draft...

Zach showed MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF MATURITY in that he took the accountable route when times got tough. the reason this is so important is because not matter what trio of WR's are fielded, which TE's are fielded, which RB's are fielded...the playmakers will have to raise their level of understanding of the system to be on the field. This will lead to consistency.

an age old saying is "there is no quality without consistency".
in golf, golfers always seek "the repeatable swing", because when pressure is at it's highest, consistency prevails.

This upcoming Off-season "jump to the next level" already started. LaFleur is going to lay out the installations, but Zach is going to be able to be a coach on the field to get the rest of the offense in the right spots an the beginning, middle and moments of inertia for each play.

Zach could have gone totally off-script and been his own highlight reel each week, but when his guys started going down, he stuck to "the constant". he stuck to the playbook.

enough cannot be made about that.

You’re like a kid on a sugar high. Take a breath man . For all their weapons, both Mahommes and Allen are sitting at home . Wanna know why .
It’s about the team, the total team, not the QB.
.... and also of course because only one team from the AFC can get to the Superbowl each year. We shouldn't forget that the other franchises in our Division also have their young QBs, and it will take a big effort just to displace the Fish from third place.

Just as I have been saying for months

But

Miami has taken a few steps back this off season. Imo if they fin d the coach & Qb they are in the running if they don't we could jump over them

I have to edit my initial post here on the QBs. I forgot all about Deshawn Watson. Dude is only 26-27 years old and a baller. Being that he hasn’t played in a year or so he’s sorta forgotten! So I must edit my list.

Mahomes, J. Allen, Burrow, Herbert and Watson. These are five young QBs I believe you can depend on to win you a championship. Even these three other youngsters, Prescott, K. Murray and L. Jackson can potentially win you one, IMO.

These eight QBs are the future of the league being that Brady, Big Ben are done. Rodgers isn’t to far behind and P. Manning, Rivers and Breez are already gone. My question is will Zach ever get here? I mean Burrow’s Bengals only won 4 games last year but he wasn’t the reason why. Before he got injured he was doing the damn thang!!!

Before Burrow got hurt, you could tell he was a FQB even without Chase. I never got that feeling once from Wilson this year. I saw positive plays, but never thought oh yeah we got our guy. I was left with way more questions than answers.

I agree on this 97.87654% I have seen nothing but a flash here & there.....now that does not mean he won't be good or great but it is not there for us to see now......Now when CH has a special section like he does for Brady then I will know he is great

I have seen nothing but a flash here & there.....

that's the thing that gives me the most hope. instead of forcing his abilities into plays, he is working within the confines of the offense.
he's got the goods to razzle and dazzle, but he forced himself to be accountable to the playbook.

You know what gives me the most hope about Zach Wilson?

▪︎ Not only did he go 5 consecutive games without an INT and 10 consecutive games without multiple INT's to end his season.

▪︎ But he did it and showed major progression while being without multiple key starters/teammates week in and week out (it was kind of unfair for a Rookie QB).

• Mekhi Becton = 16 games missed @ LT.
• AlijahVera-Tucker = 1 game missed @ LG.
• Connor McGovern = 2 games missed @ C.
• George Fant = 2 games missed @ OT.
• Corey Davis = 8 games missed @ WR.
• Elijah Moore = 6 games missed @ WR.
• Jamison Crowder = 5 games missed @ WR.
• Keelan Cole = 2 games missed @ WR.
• Michael Carter = 3 games missed @ RB.
• Telvin Coleman = 6 games missed @ RB.
• Braxton Berrios = 1 game missed @ WR.
• Tyler Kroft = 8 games missed @ TE.
• Daniel Brown = 5 games missed @ TE.
• Trevon Wesco = 5 games missed @ TE.
• Denzel Mims = 6 games missed/DNPs @ WR.

☆ And he still survived and that's despite having to go up against (as a Rookie QB) the NFLs #1 ranked and toughest Defensive Schedule of any QB in the league (which automatically makes him more battle tested heading into year #2).

So while we praise Joe Burrow for his awesome 2-7-1 Rookie season with 13 TD passes throughout 10 games I've got three questions 1.) How many key starters/teammates was he forced to play without? 2.) Did he go up against the NFLs #1 ranked and toughest Defense? And 3.) Was he not 3 years older than Zach Wilson during his Rookie season?

And Zach Wilson's Rookie year was more impressive than Josh Allen's and imo that's a good start because his A+ arm talent and his ability to make plays outside of the pocket reminds me of Josh Allen (coming out).

none of that comes up in the box scores does it? Nice Post.

seen many come up with some flash just to see the fire go out in the following years...Like I say we need more time on him
