A big deal was made a few years ago when Romo began his broadcasting career that he's in a class with Vin Skully, Mel Allen, Ray Scott and Marty Glickman. He happened to "predict" a couple of plays. BFD!
They threw money at him that would get Columbian drug dealer jealous.
To me, he's a nice guy, but I no longer care if he does a game or someone else.

I personally love Tony Romo as one of my favorite Football announcers/broadcasters and I'm not going to hold it against Romo for suggesting that the Bengals might've wanted to let the Chiefs score in order to get the ball back while down 28-24 with about 90 seconds to play when A.) He was analyzing within the heat of the moment and B.) He fears Patrick Mahomes as a former QB himself and was simply worried that Cincinnati's D wouldn't be able to stop KC before bleeding out the clock and then scoring a TD (with no time left); he was wrong (we all make mistakes and none of us are perfect) but I'm not going to nail him to a sports broadcasting cross and ESPN crucify him for it.

I wasn't judging him on a life-or-death basis. I like him, but others are good or just as good in the booth as a color man. No big deal.

Phil Simms was unbearable and was disliked my millions.

Simms to Football is what Tim McCarver was to baseball...many loved him and many hated him; the people who don't like strong opinions and history lessons while watching games liked neither, where as the people who do like them enjoy their commentary.

i loved both. i always found the stories they told as they pertained to the game they called made the game interesting, and thought provoking.

Yesterday he was the QB I always thought he would be . He stunk up the joint . Take away the free releases for Hill and Kelcie and he’s clueless on what to do next . He’s like the guys who play at “Rucker” but can’t make it in the NBA . Only in at the NFL Level what he can do sells .

The two important games that the Chiefs came up small in yesterday and the SB against the Bucs showed me what I thought of Mahommes.
Neither game can take away what the kid has accomplished thus far in his career. All I know is what I see and that is when you take away the gummies, and this QB has to process, he fails . He runs around like a chicken with its head cut off hoping on his arm and not his head .

I was watching "For The Love of The Game"...and found myself rewinding to listen to Vin Scully's clips. The announcers of that era were so special. There really isn't a comparison today.

it is hard for me to be a hardcore Met's fan today, because watching the games just aren't the same as when Kiner, McCarver, and Zebriski were calling them.

PS: I think we're about to see Joe Burrow run around like a chicken with it's head cut off because my FSU veteran and extremely elite CB Jalen Ramsey is going to lock up Ja'Marr Chase and from there both Von Miller from the edge and then AARON DONALD from the interior will expose Joe Burrow (as a younger and inexperienced 2nd year kid QB).

I agree except for Marty Glickman he was terrible. He would say Joe Morrison runs right he is in the open he cuts to the right now he cuts to the kleft down the sidelines & into the clear before he is tackled. Folks that was a three yard gain.....I mean come on. But the rest I agree with

Joe Burrow was not the MVP of that game. Evan McPherson was (but for some reason no one's talking about it).
