ok, real reason brady will retire. he saw that Majommes is the only guy to be in at least 4 championship games in his first 5 years. he can't allow someone else to own a record of any type so he figures if he retires, when he comes back he can restart from year 1 and take that stat from Majommes

Read today that Brady has a $20 million bonus pending him being on the Bucs roster on Feb 4th. If true, a damn good reason for him to be denying that he has retired.

I was watching GMF this morning...the $15 million signing bonus has an offset of a payback for $16 million if paid; at least that's the way i understood it, so announcing before the 4th makes sense to save a million.
