Official Senior Bowl Game Thread (2/5/22 2:30 Game Time)

Not sure if anyone subscribes to the Athletic, but on it are podcasts by Connor Hughes. On this week's episode Hughes talked extensively about his observations at the Senior Bowl and perhaps some valuable insight into JD's thinking on certain prospects, particularly Penning. Said JD loves Penning, maybe at #10 but not at #4. Also had some interesting thoughts on the TEs and QB classes. Worth a listen, if for nothing else than a different perspective.
After watching Senior Bowl, reading various scouting info and listening to certain folks here and elsewhere, I'd be thrilled to walk away from the draft in no particular order with Penning, Winfrey, Ruckert and Strange. There are obvious others like ZJohnson, Dotson, Johnson and Muma, but thats a pipe dream. We'd have to trade down both #4 and #10 to have a chance to get the first four plus one or two of the others.

I love your 4 especially if I can get Strange in the 3rd or late 2nd by adding another pick . That’s why I would trade pick 4 . It’s going to be interesting .

I'm no scout but I liked what I saw from Strange playing center, an unfamiliar position. I think before the Senior Bowl Strange could be had in the 4th or 5th, now I'm not so sure.

Agreed, and with McGovern under contract we would have time to develop him . There’s always Mays

I would not trade #4. Ekwonu or Cross are 10 year starters and probably All-Pro's. Draft pick #10 I can possibly see being traded twice. Once to either Philly for #16, a 2nd and a 5th. Again to Detroit for the 32nd and their 2nd and 4th. Or any QB needing Team wanting to move up.

Jets at #10 could be generating plenty of QB interested teams that may want to jump over the Commanders - Saleh did his part this week pimping Pickett. Malik claerly has the tools, I just don't know how much between the ears he will be coached up. Same goes for Corral.
