Alvin Kamara Was Arrested In Las Vegas

The NFL world (outside of the Rams and Bengals) have spent the week in Las Vegas for Pro Bowl festivities this week, culminating in the game that took place Sunday afternoon.

In the NFC’s 41-35 loss to the AFC, Saints running back Alvin Kamara had four catches for 23 yards, but found himself in the news on Sunday night for off-field reasons. Kamara was arrested and booked on Sunday night for “battery resulting in substantial bodily harm” stemming from an incident that took place over the weekend after police were called to the hospital to speak with a person reported being battered at a Vegas nightclub. The investigation led to Kamara being identified as the suspect and he was booked on Sunday, with the investigation still ongoing per Las Vegas Metropolitan police.

The 3500 block of Las Vegas Boulevard is Caesar’s Palace, but for now there are no other details regarding the incident and what occurred beyond what is in the police statement. One would expect a statement of some kind to come from Kamara or his representation in the next day or so, but until then (or we get a more detailed police account of the incident at the nightclub) we will have to wait.

I wouldn't question his character based off this one incident without first having all of the evidence needed in order to judge the situation.

We don't know the kid personally but we do know one thing he's 25 years old and has never been arrested before. I don't even think throughout his playing days of HS/NCAA/NFL (5 years) if he's even ever been suspended for anything before?

That's at least a good sign.

We all make mistakes but I'd bet the only thing he's guilty of is being young and going to a club (for a good time) during his offseason. Wasn't out all hours of the night either. It was around 5-6 PM.And probably had jewelry on like most young athletes.

I wasn't there and I've never been to Vegas but I'd bet someone tried to make a name for themselves and at his expense and he became targeted. But @ 5'10 225 lbs Kamara defended himself against a Vegas drunk and beat the guy up (then got scared and panicked) and took the heck off.

If it were a woman? All bets are off. Completely different. But I highly doubt this kid Alvin Kamara went out of his way and premeditated looking for trouble something tells me the guy went to the hospital because he had it coming his way.

Kamara and 4 others attacked the guy for trying to get into an elevator he and his friends were riding in.

He was in trouble several times at Alabama, was arrested prior and there was also an incident where he and some friends bought bb guns at walmart, shot out a waffle house window, shot up a pizza delivery driver at a red light and some panels on Alabama's engineering center. Damage was paid for by Tennessee. So he does have a history.

I would not write him off just yet. No one knows the circumstances of the arrest or what and who caused it. Lets wait and see. We are not Judge, Jury and Electric chair. Give it time.

He tried to get on the elevator to go to a different floor, same reason most people get on an elevator.
Kamara and friends were all ready in the elevator when it stopped and the doors opened. As elevators tend to do) as he went to enter Kamara grabbed him and began pushing him out,he pushed Kamara hand off his chest. Kamara started swinging and Kamara and the others proceeded to kick, punch and stomp on the guy.
Kamara and the others were identified by police from surveillance video.
Kamara admitted to the assault but says he doesn't remember if he continued to batter the victim after the victim fell to the ground.

$74M over the cap I think with a new Head Coach they might have to consider everything $11 M salary that Kamara holds against the cap they can free up $8 M in 2022 for moving him, they have to be open to doing so...

Innocenti, IMHO Thomas and Kamara under a new regime will be cap casualties. Even when Kamara is found innocent or pleads to a lesser charge, he will be gone via trade or cut or electric chair. Its all the same in the NFL.
