any signing has to be done with a 3 year window .....but the key to sustained winning is constantly rolling forward with cap space, solid drafts, and good coaching. There is always acclimation each year - you never have a pause button- look at TB....they tried it this year by bringing everyone back but it doesn't work. You always have change and adjustments.....FAs leave too....injuries.........game is a constant state of flux year to year and you need proper management at the top to adapt quickly.

and JD's track record thus far shows the ability to get out after year 1 if there is a bust. meaning the machine moves forward to the new cap year with money to play with.

Come on guys . You’re not signing Adams or Schultz to any contact that would allow us to get free after 1 year . Another thing is you put Adams on the Jets and immediately Zack Wilson stops reading defenses and starts steering down Adams.

a.) Seaver likes Adams....I wanted Robinson.
b.) Zach learned his lesson about staring down receivers, and that the #1 option only gets so long before moving to option #2.
c.) Schultz might have a large enough deal that you can't get out after 1 year, but if his deal is anything like Cory's or Carls', it not all that much longer.

and it certainly isn't Zeke for 10 and $100 million.
