Could Cowboys Simply Release Amari Cooper?

This is something to consider! Great route runner.
Would anyone bring him in and absorb that kind of cap hit? Wait for him to be released.
He had a down year last season and they need help with their cap situation. I believe it's reasonable to believe he will be released if they don't find a trade partner and any team interested in him probably would wait until he is released instead of dealing with his cap hit.
Amari is a route technician and would thrive in LaFleur's system but only take a flier on him if and when he is released...

Agreed. I'd be shocked if anyone trades for him. Offer a short-term deal like that, one year, prove it, perhaps with higher end incentives. If he walks after a year on a big deal, that counts toward the compensatory formula.
I think, sadly, that Schultz is going to get tagged...............................
I agree, short term deal, I'm not real big on him, he's not been that much better than what we already have and like you mentioned, he does take plays off and I dislike players that do that.
If he hits FA, teams will over pay for him.
Oh yeah......................Between you and me, no one else can see this right ? I hope the Jets don't go after him.
