nothing makes a secondary look better than a steady pass rush........so the fine line is just how good a CB do you need. Go back to the Sack Exchange days and although they piled up the Sacks, they were often betrayed by a sieve secondary. Hall will be a great fit with a better pass rush.....he's by no means a lockdown #1.
DJ Reed was somewhat of an under the radar pickup for the Jets. Not only did he have a very good year for the Hawks last season, but he’s young and has played for Saleh before. He’s easily a CB2. He and Hall have lessened the need at CB. I predict JD will explore the position in the mid rounds again for depth/competition.
A ball hawking center fielder-type free safety is arguably a greater need with Joyner coming back from a season ender.
