They actually miss a lot. But they accumulate a ton of picks from trading back and shoot buckshot at a barn. And some of it hits.
Where did you hear this? Or are you just guessing like everyone else? Maybe the offer wasn’t high enough for SF.
Regardless, we got an Edge and a potential #1 WR. And managed to solidify the secondary with Sauce. It’s a happy day.
#4 - Happy with Sauce. They probably could have taken Thibs and gotten Sauce at 10, but it worked out well by the end of the night.
#10 - Hated it. He aint Moss, he aint TO, so he aint a top 10 pick. Hope he Wilson proves me to be a moron, but thats my opinion.
#26 - Love it. Saw mocks with JJ going as high as the Giants (who had far and away the best night).

From the GM in his predraft presser when he stated that he couldn’t see trading away a player the caliber of Debo . I usually tend to take people at their word .

Grade: B+If you are to win the AFC East, you have to stop the Bills and Josh Allen. That means cover corners are at a premium. Gardner is the best cover player in the draft. This should mean more man for Robert Saleh and crew. Good pick. "
If this is how he truly feels, then why a B+? Shouldn't it be an A?

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard a GM say that, and then trade the player.
His blurbs are usually fair but his grades don't always match up.
Saleh pointing to JD, “he’s awesome.” Hard to argue that point right now. Great first day.
What's left? RB, TE, LB, S? LB was going to be difficult this draft. RB can be addressed on day 2.
I’m actually a little more nervous about the Jermaine Johnson pick. I think it’s a decent gamble on a big position of need, but JJ had half his sacks in two games against garbage teams. Was he whipping a bad OT for sacks? Are the 11.5 sacks last season misleading?
Sorry don’t mean to rain on any parades, but just reporting a scouting report I’ve read. He is good at setting the edge against the run. So I’m not worried about that.
What a great draft. I give it an A plus. Now let's see what Douglas can do tomorrow. Still need a safety Dane Belton, Brisker available. Maybe an interior offensive lineman and Breece Hall is still available at RB. We could also use an LB.
