Max Mitchell has the build of a LT but probably not the athleticism. He didn't do bench reps at the combine which could be a red flag. In year 1, he looks more like a backup which I guess is to be expected.

Versatility is what I see in Mitchell, which suggests the Jets project him as a depth guy rather than necessarily a potential starter. His ability to play several positions in this scheme make him a valuable depth piece.

Well they will definitely move him around. It would be nice to get more out of a 4th round pick though.

I'd love to say every fourth rounder should project to a starter. But I see the fourth as a place where you should look to someone who can be a key contributor. If he is a valuable depth piece, that makes him a key contributor in my view.

If he gets McDermitt or Edoga a permanent seat at the end of someone else’s bench I’m good with the pick

Cowboys got a steal in Demone Clark late in the draft . Kid sits out this year, let’s his body heal and comes back in 2023 . Some thought he was the best LBer in this draft before he had spinal fusion surgery.

Third day is often the day for the scout specials, the guys who some scout is all in on. It sounds like Chris Nolan was quite big on Mitchell. This, it would seem, was his find.

Overall loved this draft. TE pick baffles me a bit with the free agency signings but if this kid can be a future #1 guy, I get it. Plus depth never hurts! Joe D and Salah nailed it on ever pick. They all were positions of need and top ranked guys at their draft positions. Now its time to put in the work and show and prove on the field. We can have 4-5 legit starters and true contributors at that this year. Gardner, Wilson, Johnson II and B. Hall can be #1 guys for us this year.

Not taking anything away from our rookie starters from last year but they either struggled quite a bit or didn't contribute enough to help the team in anyway for the W's. Vera-Tucker did the best for us obviously. M. Carter and E. Moore had pretty good stats but nothing mind blowing. Carter II, Echols, and any other DB starter did ok but not really and we all know how much Zach struggled. Yes he showed signs, they all did but nothing mind blowing.

These first four picks might actually be able to produce at pro bowl type numbers. At least 2 out of the 4. I think that’s fair to say that at the least.

I think Josh Jobe is still untaken. He was not at CA when I was, but he did play there, just like Tarik Black.

Okay. Pretty satisfied. If you had told me they would take mostly offense before the Draft I wouldn't have believed it.
Now on to the UDFA party. Hopefully they have their list and they are checking it twice.

Lookin good "G". If they check out as many as reasonable we might find a diamond in the rough. I'm still looking for that new star center to take over in a year or so.

pick 111 could be that guy Max Mitchell has played some center and is known for his run blocking. not saying he will but we can also hope they target Arkansas Razorback Ricky Stromberg next draft. Believe you me, just ask @SackExchange

He is versatile. I would put him at RT first, then guard, but he absolutely can play anywhere on the line.

Best part about it, he has the athleticism to run block in a zone scheme. That is far more important than a lot of people think it is.

His ability to quickly get to the second level is huge in this system. I had not followed as much his pass sets as I had him on the ground game, but now I have to go see him pass block.
