In Episode 5 of The Exchange with Nick Mangold and Mark Sanchez the guys open up the show by talking draft day stories (0:56).
Sanchez than gives a look into his first couple of days in New York (3:00),
followed by Mangold talking about how he still had to go to college classes after he was picks by the Jets (4:45).
The guys are joined in studio by Jets guard Alijah Vera-Tucker (7:52).
They start out by talking his favorite memories of USC (9:00),
what his draft day was like (10:46)
and AVT's first experience with the New York/New Jersey area (14:45).
The guys go on to discuss the holiday gift that Zach Wilson gave the offensive lineman (16:55),
AVT's welcome to the NFL moment (18:30)
and finish the interview with some rapid fire questions (22:46).
The guys wrap up the show by talking about Mangold's recent trip to London for the NFL Draft (25:30).

i could easily see Thor as a play by play man and Sanchize as his color commentator. they have a ton of chemistry.
also pretty cool that Sanchize was well regarded by his mates; i always wondered about that!

Why would he not be . He was the QB when this team went to two AFC Championship games . Interesting fact that gets overlooked by many.
This man is one of the most disliked OC in Jets lore by this fan base yet, the Jets haven’t made the playoffs or even sniffed a winning record since he was replaced . What’s even worse is that over Brian Schottenheimer’s tenure as OC for both Herman Edwards and Rex Ryan, the Jets were in the playoffs more than at any other time in our miserable history.
We finally have another young offensive mind orchestrating our offense and talent up and down the lineup even at backup positions. I ain’t scared of anyone in the NFL. Bring ‘em on, and “come a shooting” cause we have firepower and a kid who thinks he’s special pulling the trigger.

sorry to do this to you, brother. but that freak of nature was horrible.

1.) Mangini said some interesting things when asked about BS's brilliance. he repeatedly said in the 2006 season that "Chad checked us out of a lot of bad plays"... didn't realize until years later it was a telling statement made a few times.

2.) Simms as a color guy once said in Sanchize's final season with the Jets... "boy, they don't give that kid any easy throws do they?"

3.) Russell Wilson is the reason he was $h!tc@nned in SEAT... he hated the offense because he had to be perfect for it to work.

5.) Favre chuckled out loud when asked what it was like working with a brilliant offensive mind like BS.

6.) in 2009, with the best OLine in the league and Thomas Jones at RB, they had to bring in Brian Callahan to teach the OLine zone blocking, because BS's blocking assignments were so abysmal that TJ couldn't get started.

7.) in 2010, they had to bring in Tom Moore as an Offensive consultant to make BS's offense an NFL Offense... the offense he started with was was a hodge podge of identity less plays, and the base of them was from Spurrier's Fun & Gun at UF when he was there to "learn to be a coach".

8.) my favorite BS BASH... on the play that Sanchize threw the 20 yarder to Braylon to set up the game winning FG against the Colts in the WCG, Rex joined the sideline conference, and told Sanchize... "you choose the play. you choose whatever you are comfortable with".

Schotty was/is a horrible OC who latches onto the a combo of the right QB, and/or the right Defense.
his winning percentages are a byproduct of them. he wasn't the cause.

but you are correct. our team is stacked, and we have the goods with ML.

yet with the so-called defensive genius we have hired since he left, we have never made the playoffs since. I have my opinion of baby Schotty and no matter what it will never change . They’re too many dummies playing QB in the NFL today who get away with it because they have a magic arm and a bunch of athletes backing them. Fans are not much better because they’re accustomed to winning a certain way and if they don’t see that way, every other way is wrong .

Perfect example is the current Jets. The OC knows what he wants and he expects the players that he deploys to execute according to his design . Mims has issues with his designs for a myriad of reasons but because he has a specific skill set the OC is stupid for not incorporating that skill set which doesn’t fit the design of his scheme . Doesn’t matter that 8 out of 10 guys get the scheme and can execute it, Mims should be accounted for.
How about the kid hit the playbook and the film room and study, if he’s capable instead of relying on a skill that’s one dimensional.
Like I said, tons of dummies who skate by . In the real world we call them functional illiterate.
