JD’s drafts: 2020 is looking like a stinker unless Becton and Mims step it up. 2021 was a very good draft. 2022 on paper looks like it’ll be a great draft.
JD’s FA: The Jamal Adams trade for two 1st rounders and not having to overpay him, was a fleecing. The Sam Darnold trade to acquire three draft picks including a 2nd and a 4th was also a tremendous deal for the Jets. Darnold is circling the drain in Carolina. The trade with the Chiefs to get starting guard LDT for Daniel Brown was a laughable deal considering we picked Brown back up after he was released. LDT=free.
We have a great GM. It’s about time.

3 years, right? if half of the following "isn't closed" pan out in any meaningful way, 2020 could be looked at much differently.
the door isn't closed on Ashtyn Davis.
the door isn't closed on Zuniga.
the door isn't closed on Perrine.
the door isn't closed on Mims.
the door is far from closed on Mann.
the door is wide open on Becton.
the door got kicked off the hinges and is in pieces outside of the frame on Hall.
Morgan was a bad pick. Clark was unfortunate, but 2020 isn't in the books "yet" as another "same ole jets lost draft".
I’ll be happy with the 2020 draft class if Becton comes back strong and in shape, stays healthy and plays well. That, combined with Bryce Hall being a mid round steal would be fine with me. I don’t think it’s too much to ask.
The other players you mentioned? No, the door isn’t closed on them but they’re definitely “on the bubble” players. Mims is like 5th or 6th in line at WR, and Perine, Zuniga, and A.Davis are looking like potential late cuts as well based on the depth that’s been built at their respective positions. I am not impressed with Ashtyn Davis at all. He looks lost out there. I could see him getting beat out by an UDFA. A third round pick. Ugh!
My guess is that JD will turn some of them into draft picks thus recouping some value instead of outright cuts.
You never know; one man’s steak is another’s poopIf JD gets anything back in terms of late round picks for Ashtyn Davis, Perine and/or Zuniga his legendary reputation for ripping other teams off will become the talk around the league.
