Good times. That was a fun group to watch. Dominant.
Yeah, Marino would’ve changed things for the Jets. It’s a painful memory. KOB was good. Marino was great.
The reason that I don't agree with this is because the Dolphins were a superbowl team, leading until the Redskins scored 2 late touchdowns. And 3 1/2 months later drafted Marino and Marino never put them over the top. I think Darrell Green would've taken them to the superbowl and O'Brien would've been available in round 2.
I'll go even further on this. A lot of people blame Gastineau for the OT loss in Cleveland. And yes his penalty sucked. But if we had Green at CB1 instead of Russell Carter, the outcome would've been different.
I m not talking about 72 Dolphins era of a great team that went down . 80s Dolphins was not great that team was Ralders. That Raiders team was great and won a Super Bowl with Jim Plunkett that was incredible. Dolphins wasn’t as good as Jets who had a great Defense but no QB . If Jets had Marino arm passing would have changed decade history for Jets . Marino was mad that Jets didn’t take him.
